Legit 6-Second Daily Driver – 2,000WHP Nissan GT-R

October 3rd, 2023

Izzy Performance is a name synonymous with street racing history. These days Izzy is repping out quality builds for street and strip in sunny Southern California. This is his daily driver, an all-wheel drive 2017 Nissan GT-R with huge attitude. Check this out:

The motor was built by T1 Race Development. It’s a dry sump 4.1-liter Stroker with twin 68-millimeter turbochargers and an Alpha Performance kit. Fuel is sprayed through dual 1700cc ID injectors. Throttle bodies are stock, but the intake manifolds are from Alpha. Exhaust gases are swept away via an ultralight Gredy titanium exhaust system. The controller is a MoTec M150 and it’s tuned by RobTuned. Get this – it’s loaded with ten different tune settings. You just dial up the desired tune (MAP) for the required situation. Drag racing? No problem. Roll racing? It’s all good. Date night? There’s a tune for that, too.

Shifting is left to a Sheptrans Stage 4.5 gearbox with billet gears and custom clutches. Front and rear differentials are billet units from WaveTrac. The front axles are stock. The rear axles are Level 5 (rated to 2,000hp).

Believe it or not, the suspension is stock Nissan GT-R. The brakes are Brembo full carbon with cross-drilled and vented rotors. Those badazz wheels are from Cicio Performance and they are wrapped in Mickey Thompson slicks.

Get a load of the expression on Shawn’s face when Izzy dumps the gas. Priceless.
