Hot Rod Heaven – Twin Turbo Ford Maverick RestoMod

March 22nd, 2022

Featured in this video is arguably the cleanest example of a 1970 Ford Maverick (RestoMod) that you will ever see. What began as a barn find from North Georgia has certainly morphed into one of the finest Fords in the land. Check it out.

Under the hood is a built 302 cubic-inch Coyote motor. Internal upgrades include sleeved cylinders, a Boss 302 crankshaft, Wiseco Boostline connecting rods, Manley pistons and billet oil pump gears. The cylinder heads and intake manifold have been custom ported. The hidden turbochargers are 78-millimeter with a custom air-to-air intercooler. The transmission is a (GM) TH400 automatic. Maximum output is estimated to be approximately 1,500hp. That’s a lot of power to get to the pavement.

The engine was built by Collins Performance and the roll cage was configured in a NASCAR shop – other than that, everything on this build was done in a residential garage.

Watch the video to get the low-down on the rest of the car, including suspension, brakes, differential, interior, gauges and more.

Now, let’s get this beast on the street!
