Dodge Challenger Hellcat Redeye vs. Mustang GT Headers and E85 – 50 to 150 Street Hits

April 2nd, 2024

These enthusiasts are taking this grudge race to the streets (of Mexico) for some satisfaction in the form of roll racing. The competitors will be pushing their modern-day muscle cars to the brink in a series of wide-open-throttle disputes measured in maximum miles per hour. Put on your big boy britches and buckle-up, it’s time to go street racing.

In the right lane is the Ford Mustang GT. It comes from the factory with a naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8 engine mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. Maximum output is rated at 460hp in stock condition. Car and Driver Magazine says the Mustang GT can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4.2-seconds and turn the standing quarter-mile in 12.5-seconds @ 114 mph. The Mustang featured in this video has been modified to improve performance. Upgrades include a set of exhaust headers and an E85 tune to accommodate race gas.

On the left (also in black) is the Dodge Challenger Hellcat Redeye. This supercharged monster is equipped with a 6.2-liter HEMI engine (8-speed automatic transmission) that can make 797hp with race gas. This very bad kitty remains stock with the exception of a suspension lowering kit.

Time to get these marauders on the interstate and see what shakes loose.
