Ugly Duckling R32 Swapped Civic vs. Mustang GT – Street Hits

June 14th, 2023

In a rare occurrence of daytime street racing, we have a radically modified Honda Civic taking on a gently massaged Ford Mustang GT. Let’s skip directly to the stars of this show (the cars).

First up is one of the ugliest imports you will ever see. This Honda Civic coupe looks like a cobbled-up mess. The rear bumper is MIA, and the paint is horrific. Where this car shines is under the hood. The tiny four-cylinder has been removed and a 3.2-liter J32 motor takes its place. Maintaining the front-wheel drive platform of the original Civic, the plenum of the J32 towers above the cowl of the sporty subcompact. The ugly duckling is professionally tuned and equipped with a 100hp shot of laughing gas (nitrous). Should be interesting.

The Ford Mustang GT is status quo. Even though it’s stock, it sounds great. It has a 10-speed automatic transmission mated to a 460hp (420 lb.-ft. of torque) 5.0-liter V8 engine. Interior luxuries have been deleted and a set of exhaust headers have been installed to increase performance. It is also tuned to burn E85 fuel.

Roll ‘em out and let’s get this party started.
