Texas Streets – Top Mount Turbo Mk5 Supra vs. Tuned GT-R, Big Turbo BMW M3 and Audi TTRS

October 17th, 2023

You know they grow everything bigger in Texas, but when it comes to street racing, you gotta take that stuff south of the border. That’s what these import specialists have done. A handful of the fastest roll racers in Texas have dropped down into no man’s land for some spirited competition. You boys – and girls – like Mexico?

First up is a race between the Big Burd Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 (upgraded cylinder heads, camshaft and intake manifold with a ported blower) and a BMW M3 with a built engine and a big turbo. Other mods include a Maxx ECU tuned to burn E85. This one is closer than you’d think. Sounds like a hot rod and an angry bumble bee.

The next one is between the same blue Beemer and an Audi TTRS with a turbo upgrade, premium engine internals and a beefed-up fuel system. The first hit is an epic failure but the Audi gets it done in hit number two.

Now we have a battle between a Mk5 Supra equipped with a built transmission and an oversize turbocharger and a Nissan GT-R with full bolt-ons tuned to burn E85 fuel and running a Boost Logic controller. These two guys split multiple hits. Door-handle-to-door-handle racing right here.

There’s lots more roll racing on this clip.
