Take a look at these two state-of-the-art luxury vehicles as they blast down this 2,500-foot private airstrip. If you look at the specifications, you would expect the Tesla to make short work of the Bentley in this contest of pure acceleration. Not so fast!

The P 85D takes the lead out of the hole with all 691-horsepower hitting the pavement, instantly while the GT3 R waits for the turbochargers to catch-up. This leaves the Bentley looking at the Tesla’s taillights until about the quarter-mile mark. At that point the big turbocharged V8 gathers the electrically powered Tesla back-in and it is a close race.
