Here is a video of a new Tesla Model S P85D with dual motors, all wheel drive and 691HP taking on a 2015 BMW M4 powered by a Twin Turbo 3.0L Inline-6 with 425HP and a 7 speed dual clutch transmission.

The BMW M4 used it’s Launch control system and got the jump from the start but the Tesla quickly took over leaving the M4 behind by a few cars.   On the top end the race evened out as the Tesla ran out of steam and and hit it’s top speed allowing the M4 to quickly catch up.

This BMW M4 is no slouch running 12.2 @ 117.3 MPH a few weeks ago at PBIR.

Hopefully Tesla Motors will un-cripple the Tesla P85D soon and release the power and speed that it promised when they initially released the specifications back in October 2014 and started taking orders.
