Late Model Racecraft (LMR) showed up at Houston Raceway Park on Saturday night with a fire in their belly. These guys fully intended to smash the standing quarter-mile world record for a mid-engine powered C8 Chevrolet Corvette. They planned to accomplish this feat with their newly built twin turbo C8. Today, we get a chance to sit in on Fuel Tech’s Advanced Dyno Training Session with the 1968 Patriot Camaro and the Robert Hayes Motorsports (RHM) crew. After a major crash during a Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings small-tire race, the Patriot Camaro spent the summer months getting a chassis upgrade at the Hayes Motorsports facility. It has been radically modified by the experts at FuelTech in Atlanta. Of course, the C8 version is the first mid-engine Corvette ever produced.
