Whoa! Better than a Bugatti? There are very few cars that make that claim but that’s the scoop on this Galpin Auto Sports (GAS) modified Ford Mustang GT500. At a sticker price that is less than a quarter of the Veyron, this pony car might just be worth a second look.

The process begins with a capable enough car in the GT500, it then gets a custom set of wheels and tires that are fitted to a one-of-a-kind aerodynamic wide body kit that is fabricated using all steel construction. The sheet metal work alone may take up four-months to complete. Next, the 5.4-liter Ford engine is modified with a larger Whipple supercharger, bigger fuel injectors, bigger throttle body, a more wide open cold air intake and exhaust system, as well as a high performance tuner. There is also an oversized turbocharger intercooler and a methanol injection system.

The car is equipped with race grade steering, suspension, and brakes, making it just as viable on the road course as it is on the drag strip. It has an electronically limited top speed of 200 mph and can jet from 0 to 60 mph in only 2.5-seconds. This is a long test drive video of an amazing car with a manual transmission and tons of heart.
