All-Motor Mustang Fox Body vs. Big Turbo Acura – Drag Race

September 27th, 2022

Greetings drag racing fans. This one has a bit of everything! Front-wheel drive, rear-wheel drive, turbo and naturally aspirated.

What the front-wheel drive Acura Integra lacks in cubic inches, he more than makes up in forced air induction. This guy is running a Darton sleeved four-cylinder B-series motor with a B16 cylinder head. The turbocharger is a Garrett 72-millimeter capable of swallowing up livestock. The last time that the car was on the dyno it made more than 1,100whp. The transmission is a sequentially shifted dog box with a billet bell housing. The front end is a drag race 3-piece unit, and it is fat. This guy looks like a ringer.

The Mustang is heavier than the Acura. It makes less power, and it is rear-wheel drive. Not an ideal situation for the Ford. Deon’s Mustang is powered by a naturally aspirated 7.0-liter Windsor motor. No induction and no nitrous.

All that’s left to do is get these two competitors on the track and see what shakes loose. It’s put up or shut up time.
