950WHP McLaren 720S vs Big Turbo Nissan GTR – Daylight Street Hits

December 17th, 2020

It just don’t get any better than this! Two of the fastest imports on the planet have converged on this strip of lonely asphalt (in Mexico) to see who has what it takes to claim the title as baddest roll racer south of the border. For this production we will load up in an 800hp Corvette and see if we can keep up.

The mid-engine rear-wheel drive McLaren 720S is equipped with a 4.0-liter twin turbocharged V8 and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. From the factory, it is churning out 710hp and 568 lb.-ft. of torque. In stock trim, it can dart from 0 to 60 mph in 2.8-seconds and it has a top speed of 212 mph (computer controlled). The stock 720S can turn the quarter-mile in 9.98-seconds @ 141 mph. This car has been modified and tuned to produce approximately 950hp to the wheels.

The Nissan GTR is the baddest you-know-what to come out of Japan. It is a front engine, all-wheel drive beast with a 3.8-liter twin turbo V6 under the hood. With a 6-speed automatic transmission, the Nissan GTR is capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in 2.9-seconds and has a top speed of 196 mph. The stock motor generates 565hp and 467 lb.-ft. of torque. The GTR featured in this clip has been modified with a turbocharger upgrade, numerous exhaust system upgrades, it has been tuned and it is running E85 fuel.

When these two competitors hit the streets – it will be pandemonium!
