Check out Mad Mike’s four-rotor Mazda Miata at the 2015 SEMA Show. This unique roadster is setup for drift racing and it is on display in the Garrett Turbochargers booth. Mad Mike is a native of New Zealand but he makes frequent trips to the U.S. to compete in Formula Drift events. With its four rotor engine configuration and a pair of Garrett GTX 40 turbos, this car sounds awesome.

Sure, you could build a high-powered V8 for a fraction of the cost but there is something to be said for originality. This specially designed rotary Mazda engine certainly has plenty of that. From the unique block design to the hood vented exhaust system this car screams “one-of-a-kind”. At 1,200hp it would be very interesting to see just how fast this Mazda could get through the 1320.
