Oh! It’s about to be on like hot cakes. We have a grudge match on the asphalt of Old Mexico. It’s about to be pandemonium down here.

It seems that we have a Fox Body Mustang rolling against a Gen V Camaro SS. The Mustang has been transplanted with a turbocharged (7 psi) 5.0-liter V8 engine. The Chevrolet is powered by a 6.2-liter V8 with a performance camshaft, exhaust headers and an E85 tune. Both cars have manual transmissions. This should be a good race.

Racing will commence at 40 mph. Buckle up.

Following a brief warm-up, the two competitors bring their machines alongside one another and come up to speed on the interstate. Suddenly, both cars lurch ahead and roar with acceleration. The Camaro pulls ahead gradually and irks out a close victory.

The next hit is more of the same. At 40 mph both cars got busy. This time the Mustang took a decisive advantage and the win.

Time for the tiebreaker?
