Check out this electric Miata known as Assault & Battery running low 9’s at 144 MPH. This crazy super silent drag car is powered by a 333 volt LiPo pack and two 2000 amp Zilla controllers feeding dual NetGain 9-inch motors. Seems like there is a lot more to come as current was limited to less than 1,100 amps for this run. We’ve seen dozens of new 2014 Corvette Stingray’s hitting the 1/4 mile since they started hitting the streets a few weeks ago with the first few going low 12’s. It was just a matter of time until someone brought one to ATCO Raceway which is well known for it’s great weather, excellent track prep and very quick 1/4 mile times. We had some time to take a close look at the all new McLaren P1 over at The Collection in Coral Gables, FL. McLaren’s latest Hyper Car is powered by a 3.8L V8 Twin turbo and an electric motor for total power of 903 horsepower and McLaren states it will run 9.8 @ 152 MPH in the 1/4 mile. McLaren has put out some official performance numbers for their new McLaren P1 Hyper Car. With a 3.8L V8 Twin Turbo gas engine augmented with electric power for a total of 903 HP, this lightweight car (3,100 pounds) is sure to amaze in any category, including the 1/4 mile. Power to weight for the P1 is just 3.43 pounds! RoadTestTV got some video of what might be the first real world Chevrolet Corvette C7 Stingray running at the drag strip over at Palm Beach International Raceway. This C7 was equipped with the 7 speed manual transmission and ended up running a 12.47 @ 116.2 MPH with a 2.12 60′ time.
