1360WHP Twin-Turbo Viper

June 29th, 2017

Greetings racing fans and welcome to the sunny state of Mexico for some top-tier roll racing on the highway.

Turbo cars are advancing rapidly (get it?) in the area of dig racing but where turbocharged cars really shine is roll racing. After all, there’s no need to spool up when you are already running 60 mph in second gear at 4K RPM.

The three cars featured in this video embody what turbocharged roll racing is all about. They are skillfully modified and outfitted to handle the rolling hills and gentle curves of racing on the highway.

The Calvo Motorsports Viper is rolling a stock (8.4-liter V10) engine with a CM1300 twin-turbocharger package and a MoTec controller. It’s riding on 19-inch Toyo R888 rubber and burning C16 racing fuel. Stock power output was in the 645hp range but the Calvo Snake is capable of producing 1360hp on kill mode (1,250hp for this video).

The Sequential Evo has a built 2.0-liter engine with a Forced Performance Super 99 turbocharger and a Drenth Motorsports sequential gearbox. It is running E85 fuel and is producing 900hp.

The Karma Supra is making 1050whp and has a built 3.4-liter inline 6-cylinder engine with a Precision 8685 turbocharger (31 psi of boost). Shifting is handled via a PowerGlide transmission and it has 15-inch drag radials in the rear.

This is a good one if you like roll racing. Take a gander for yourself.
