Import vs. Domestic – Chevy, DSM, and Ford

October 28th, 2017

The battle between imported and domestic automobiles continues to rage on the streets of old Mexico. It all began about the time that the first imported automobiles began disembarking in the ports of the U.S. and Canada and it is alive and well in 2017.

Our first entrant is racing a Chevrolet 1500 Sportside pickup. It is well equipped with a 6.0-liter LS engine that has been outfitted with a supercharger and a kit of nitrous.

Entrant number two is piloting a Ford Mustang Cobra Terminator Edition with a 3.4-liter Whipple supercharger, full bolt-ons, and a performance tuner. Power output is estimated at 850hp.

Last – but not least – we have a DSM Evolution. Under the hood of this Import, you will find a built and balanced four-cylinder with a Precision 6466 turbocharger. It is running E85 fuel.

These are three cars that are pretty evenly matched. It makes for some highly competitive street (roll) racing action. Take a gander for yourself.
