Homewrecker Studebaker Gaps Murder Nova

April 10th, 2019

Hello drag racing fans and welcome back to Bounty Hunters No-Prep Grudge Nationals IV (San Antonio, Tx.). This clip features an entry in the Big Tire Class. The grand prize is $20k.

The ride is a 1953 Studebaker Commander (shortened) with steel in all the right places to make her “street legal”. Under the hood is a 540 cubic-inch big block HEMI engine with a Whipple R980 screw-blower on top. It is burning alcohol. Output has to be in the 2,500 to 3,000whp range. Certainly, more than this track can handle on this day.

In the First Round, Jamond Haug (backed by the Homewrecker Motorsports Crew) line up next to a supercharged Gen I Camaro. The Stude is too much for the Camaro.

Round Two pits the Homewrecker against a celebrity from the Discovery Network. This is a close one, but the HW takes the win after Murder Nova knocks the tires off.

Round Three nets another win for Homewrecker; against a turbo FoxBody Mustang and lands Jamond in a monumental race for Round Four. Another television star, Ryan in the Fireball Camaro, is the opponent.

The tree drops and Homewrecker busts the blower belt – stopping him immediately. What a way to end a great day – but wait – Fireball jumped early, giving Homewrecker the win!

Homewrecker moves on to the final against a brand-new twin turbo S10 build. Who’s gonna grab the cash and take home the Bounty Hunters Trophy in Big Tire? Take a look and find out.
