Hellcat e85 Conversion Increased Horsepower Reduced Emissions

April 22nd, 2015

Hellcat e 85 upgradeEveryone knows that the 2015 Dodge Hellcat is built for speed and performance with a factory horsepower rating of 707 (at the crankshaft). What you may not know is this: Serious Horsepower (SHP) out of Houston, Texas, is in the business of making high-performance machines (such as the Hellcat) produce even more horsepower while running on cleaner e85 fuel.

In this video, the factory Hellcat posted 672 horsepower and 600 lb.-ft. of torque (at the rear wheels) burning 93-octane fuel. After the car was expertly modified by SHP, using HP Tuners 2.25 Software, a Kenne Bell Boost-a-Pump, and upgraded fuel injectors, it produced 753 horsepower and 670 lb.-ft. of torque (at the rear wheels) on the dyno, running more emission friendly e85 fuel. That is a gain of 81 horsepower and 70 lb.-ft. of torque without reprograming the transmission control module (TCM). When TCM support becomes available (from HP Tuners) the gains should climb even higher.
