DSE-Z Camaro – 700HP NA Monster

October 6th, 2020

Climb in, buckle up and hang on to your hat – this Gen III (1987) Chevrolet Camaro revs all the way to 8,500 RPM to make maximum horsepower – and it does it without the aid of forced air induction. Let’s have a closer look.

You just don’t see very many “square-nose” Camaros looking this good. This car has an athletic stance, some fat rubber wrapped around a great looking set of wheels, and stunning blue paint. Shockingly, the interior (complete with a full roll cage) is every bit as exceptional as the exterior. Under the hood is a professionally built and de-stroked 7.0-liter LS7. The iconic Chevy mill is often known for low RPM power and a loping idle. This one marches to the beat of a different drummer. It utilizes a wide power band to achieve maximum output (700+hp) at 8,500 RPM. That’s unheard of from an engine of this type. Shifting is handled via a Bowler manual transmission and the gauges are Auto Meter.

The entire package, with steering and suspension (front and rear), is developed by Detroit Speed and almost every item you see on this car is for sale. They will even build you an “IROC” of your own – and they’ll build it to your specs. All it takes is money. Beautiful car.
