Callaway SC750 Camaro – Track Test

January 9th, 2018

The 2018 Chevrolet Camaro is offered in many versions. From the comfortably priced Camaro 1LS (with its turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder) to the mighty Camaro ZL1 (with its supercharged V8); there is a Camaro that fits the bill of virtually every sports car enthusiast.

The Camaro featured in this video is a bit more than stock and leans in the direction of a Shelby creation or a Yenko model.

The firm, known as Callaway Cars, has been around since 1977. They are known for Corvette modifications but have also drifted into the Camaro market (as you can see). Whatever the car, they provide turn-key performance for a price. Relative to the economic situation, the price of a Callaway car can seem fairly reasonable (the Camaro featured in this video lists for around $80K).

Callaway begins with a Camaro ZL1. They remove the stock blower and replace it with a Gen III Magnuson TVS 2300 with a triple row intercooler. Add a high-flow intake system and high performance exhaust and you gain nearly 100hp. That bumps the ZL1 up from 650hp to 750hp with 739 lb.-ft. of torque.

This video depicts a pro driver railing on this Callaway Camaro; all the way around Old Dominion Raceway. You are going to love this one. Have a look.
