This means that even though the car is larger than the outgoing model, it is still up to 50 kilograms (110 lb) lighter. The reduced weight and increased power means that both the Carrera and Carrera S are appreciably faster than the outgoing models. The 0--60 mph time for the manual transmission cars are 4.6 seconds for the Carrera and 4.3 seconds for the Carrera S. When equipped with PDK the 991 models can accelerate from 0--60 mph in 4.4 seconds and 4.1 seconds for the Carrera and Carrera S respectively. With the optional sports chrono package, available in cars with the PDK transmission, the 991 Carrera can accelerate from 0--60 mph in as little as 4.2 seconds [31] and the Carrera S can do the same in 3.9 seconds. The biggest and main change in the interior is the center console, inspired by the Carrera GT and adopted by the Panamera. The 911 has many strengths, the new 911 Carrera 4 has a few more with regards to traction, driving dynamics and safety. Make these strengths your own - behind the wheel - whatever the weather. More information on http://www.porsche.com/carrera-4 The Porsche 911 (pronounced as Nine Eleven or German: Neunelfer) is a two-door Grand Tourer made by Porsche AG of Stuttgart, Germany. It has a distinctive design, rear-engined and with independent rear suspension, an evolution of the swing axle on the Porsche 356. Since its introduction in 1963,[1] it has undergone continuous development, though the basic concept has remained little changed.[2] The engine was air-cooled until the introduction of the Type 996 in 1998. Throughout its lifetime, the 911 has been modified by private teams and by the factory itself for racing, rallying and other forms of automotive competition. It is among the most successful competition cars ever. In the mid 1970s, naturally aspirated 911 Carrera RSRs won major world championship sports car races such as Targa Florio, Daytona, Sebring and Nürburgring, even against prototypes. The 911-derived 935 turbo also won the coveted 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1979. In the 1999 international poll for the award of Car of the Century, the 911 came fifth.[3] It is one of two in the top five that had remained continuously in production (the original Beetle remained in production until 2003),[4] and was until 1998 the most successful surviving application of the air- (now water-) cooled opposed rear-engine layout pioneered by its original ancestor, the Volkswagen Beetle. It is one of the oldest sports coupe nameplates still in production. In 2004, Sports Car International named the 911 number three on the list of Top Sports Cars of the 1960s, the Carrera RS number seven on the list of Top Sports Cars of the 1970s, and the 911 Carrera number seven on the list of Top Sports Cars of the 1980s. In addition, the 911 was voted Number 2 on Automobile Magazine's list of the "100 Coolest Cars". The 997 was nominated for the World Car of the Year award for 2005. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Porsche_911#Awards

Jaguar XJ is the designation that has been used for a series of luxury saloon cars sold under the British Jaguar marque. The first XJ was launched in 1968 and the designation has been used for successive Jaguar flagship models since then. The original model was the last Jaguar saloon to have had the input of Sir William Lyons, the company's founder. The current Jaguar XJ was launched in 2009. Jaguar Land Rover invited Jay Leno to unveil the new XJ during the launch at the Saatchi Gallery in London on 9 July 2009.[4] The unveiling was broadcast live on the Jaguar website. US model was unveiled in 2009 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.[5] Production of the car was due to begin in September 2009, with first deliveries being made in early 2010.[6] However, the sale was delayed to December.[7] On 11 May 2010, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom took delivery of a long-wheelbase, armoured, dark grey XJ as the official state car of the United Kingdom. In addition to the standard version with a 3,035 mm (119.5 in) wheelbase, a long-wheelbase version is available with a 3,160 mm (124 in) wheelbase.[4] However, unlike other full-size flagship luxury cars, the long-wheelbase variant was designed first and is expected to make up 67 percent of sales in the United States market. 2012 Model Year update (2011-) New options include:[16] New Rear Seat Comfort package, which incorporates electric recline, lumbar adjustment and massage functions to reinforce the ultimate executive limousine experience. Executive Pack option is added to XJL Portfolio model, which includes provision of fold-down laptop trays and an electric rear sunblind, upgraded carpeting, combination wood and leather steering wheel, gloss wood veneer choices and chrome mirror housings. Illumination Package (standard on Supersport model) is available as option of other XJ models. 3.0-litre petrol V6 engine for selected markets, launched in China XJ 5.0 V8 Portfolio Prestige (MY2012-) It is a version sold in Hong Kong market.[17] Based on XJ Portfolio LWB with 5.0L petrol engine, it includes XJ rear seat comfort pack and gloss oak interior veneer. XJ Ultimate (2012-) The car was developed by the Jaguar Land Rover's specialist Engineered To Order (ETO) division. The vehicle was unveiled in 2012 Beijing Auto Show. US model includes V8 supercharged 510PS, 8-speed automatic transmission, and went on sale in late 2012 as 2013 model year vehicle. A new 3.0 V6 supercharged petrol engine was introduced in most markets in the summer of 2012 to replace the standard 5.0 V8. At the end of 2012, a new 4-cylinder 2.0 turbo petrol engine sourced from Ford was also introduced http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jaguar_XJ_%28X351%29

It extends the current BMW Sports Activity Series model lineup which includes the BMW X3, BMW X5, and the BMW X6. Technically, the X1 is an all-wheel-drive version of the BMW 3-Series station wagon and still, it shares a similar platform with the sport activity vehicles BMW X3 & the upcoming BMW X4; however the EPA classifies it under the Midsize Cars category.[3] The X1 is based on the same platform as the E91 BMW 3-Series Touring (wagon). The X1 is the first "X" BMW to be offered with 2WD, specifically rear-wheel drive. Such models are labelled "sDrive". The X1 xDrive28i debuted BMW's N20 engine.[4] Compared to the larger X3, the X1 is positioned as a slightly smaller but more affordable and sportier entry. The USA market gets the BMW N20B20 2.0-liter turbo inline-4, in RWD sDrive and AWD xDrive configurations, as well as the BMW N55B30 TwinPower turbo inline-6 from the X3 xDrive35i.[9] BMW will start selling the X1 in the American market in late 2012 as a 2013 model, but BMW Canada started selling the X1 in early 2011 as a 2012 model. The Indian market is currently getting the sdrive18i (4 cyl petrol), sdrive20d and sdrive20d (highline) (4 cyl diesels). The three variants have an 8-speed automatic transmission. No manual transmission option is available now. The next generation BMW X1 is expected in 2015. It was recently reported that the new X1 will share its platform with the next generation MINI Countryman, utilising BMW's forthcoming UKL (unterklasse)platform. Such a change would mean sDrive models will become FWD, instead of the current RWD. It is also expected that the next X1 will lose the six-cylinder option in favor of four-cylinder engines to increase interior space. Equipment The cargo capacity has 420 litres of storage space, which can increase to 480 litres with the back seats pulled a little to the front, and up to 1350 litres of storage space with the seats folded. For comparison, the 3-Series Touring (E91) has 460 and the X3 (E83) has 480 litres. The backrest in the rear is adjustable in 11 steps and can be divided in the ratio 40:20:40 Adaptive cruise control Semi Command Sitting position Performance Control Engines All sDrive models are rear wheel drive, while xDrive models are all wheel drive. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW_X1

Road Test: 2013 Porsche Boxster S
When the Porsche Boxster debuted back in 1996, it was billed as a no frills, two-seat roadster, and a less expensive alternative to the vaunted 911. Unfortunately, as the Boxster buyer matured, so did the car, out growing its purest sports car roots by adding more and more of the luxury features premium buyers now demand. So, while we welcome a third generation Boxster, we wonder if it can still stir our driving senses. Here's MotorWeek's road test review of the 2013 Porsche Boxster S.
