Electric Factory Five 818 Project - Track Shakedown - EV West / 33 Machine
In this introduction video of the Electric 818 car by EV West and 33 Machine, we take it out to Adams Motorsport Park for an initial shakedown. The car is powered by a HPEVS AC2-35 dual AC motor setup running at 144kW. The car has 16kWh of capacity, and can drive about 60-70 miles on it's lightweight lithium ion battery pack. Recharging is done through an onboard 5000kW charger, and is public charge station compatible, making this street legal electric rocket ship a great way to run around town, and still have track-worthy performance. The current weight of the car is 1700 pounds, but it still needs just under 250 pounds of bodywork added to the car giving an estimated final weight of 1950 pounds. Dual Motor Electric Vehicle Drivetrain With Powerglide 2 Speed Transmission Walkthrough by EV West
Here's a brief 10 minute video that gives a nice overview of the EV West 2 speed Powerglide transmission that runs without a torque converter direct drive to 2 coupled Warp 11 motors. Depending on the voltage and current, these twin motors can put out well over 1000 lb/ft of torque, and 600+ horsepower. We used this motor and transmission combination to power our BMW M3 to the summit of Pikes Peak in 2012 setting an all time record for street legal electric cars. EV West Pikes Peak Official Run 2012 - Electric BMW M3 - First Converted Car to Race
Here's our official timed run for the 2012 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. We had an issue with a couple of Go Pro cameras due to the delays caused by Monster Tajima's fire, and Dallenbach's crash, so unfortunately, we don't have in-car footage. The EV West M3 holds the mountain record with an 11:58.929 for a street converted car. Good enough for 4th in electric, and beating out last year's world record (later to be beaten by Toyota MG).

ReBirth Auto's Fully Electric 1978 Porsche Carrera- 2 WarP 9's - Inside and Drive
This is the inside of the custom built fully electric vehicle built by Rebirth Auto in St. Petersburg, FL. It is a Porsche Carrera from 1978 which these guys put some serious time and effort into. This is one amazing system that uses tons of the Headway 10ah lithium cells and accelerates like a bat out of hell. It uses 2 WarP 9in motors in series running off of a single Soliton 1 from Evnetics. It outputs 400hp and 600ftlbs of torque with the conservative setting they run to help save their clutch. Bicycle as seen is running at 5600W with 2WD. This bike does come with the option of running at 8000W or 5600W. We chose 5600W because we felt 8000W is not needed and just spins the tires needlessly and also puts added stress on components. The pull is quite amazing on this thing. This particular video is the first impressions of our first ride. The space we ran it is just slightly downhill but also around a bend so there is less than 350 feet to really get on the throttle. Later testing on flat ground yielded 50 MPH on GPS and Radar! Total system weight ready to ride is only 65 lbs!
