My girlfriend takes my 1965 (Factory Five MKIII replica) Shelby Cobra out for a drive.
Sorry about the sound in this video. I mounted the GoPro to the roll bar
but I think it was vibrating or something. She did pretty well driving the
Cobra... minus a couple grinds haha. The Cobra is a bit tempermental and
not really easy on you the first time you take her out. Proud of my girl...

1965 Shelby Cobra + 700 HP + Kirkham + Fast
Replica 1965 Shelby Cobra owned by Len B, produced by Kirkham Motor Sports.
The car only weighs 2100 pound due to its aluminum body which is made in
Poland at a former MIG aircraft factory. The cars weight is also low due
to aluminum suspension and motor. The motor is a Shelby aluminum block
427fe which produces 700 horse power (i.e., FAST) !!! That is the same
power to weight ratio as a bullet bike.
To the dismay of several bullet bike riders; Len likes to show them who is
"the boss" in a race from time to time.

Classics Revealed: The Shelby Cobra
( http://www.TFLcar.com ) The Shelby Cobra is perhaps the World's most
iconic and thus copied car. Less than 1000 original Ford AC Cobras were
built by Carroll Shelby. Tens of Thousands of copies of the original 289
and 427 AC Cobras exist with most of them being "kit cars" copies. In this
exclusive TFLcar video we visit Superformace in Southern California to
learn why the Shelby Cobra is such an iconic race car and automobile.
Superformance along with Carroll Shelby's own Shelby Automobiles, Inc build
what many call "Continuation Cars". These are brand new Shelby Cobra
roadsters and coupes that have official Shebly CSX serial numbers. They are
of course not the original series of Shelby Cobra cars which now demand
hundreds of thousands of dollars by collectors when they do come up for
sale , but they are also not copies. They are simply new Shelby Cobras
built as a continuation of the original series of cars. In other words,
these are new Shelby Cobras. If you are a fan of Carroll Shelby and his
cars you'll like this video as we get deep into the history of what many
believe is America's most beautiful and iconic race car.

This 560 horsepower supercharged 427
replica is a fully sorted and expertly detailed show car that wears a
licensed Shelby body and features autographs from both Carroll Shelby
himself and legendary engine builder Jack Roush.
When you take a car to SEMA, you're displaying in front of hundreds of the
most skilled and influential car guys in the world. Every part of the car
has to be flawless and EVERYTHING about the cars build has to be absolutely
perfect. This '65 Cobra began with exceptionally solid fiberglass that
doesn't show any signs of waves or ripples. On top of that fiberglass, an
even and smooth gel coat provides an excellent canvas for the cars wet-look
Pepper Gray paint and a killer set of red and silver racing stripes. Once
that spectacular paint was buffed to a brilliant shine, proper finish work
ensured that this laser-straight re-creation looks every bit as good as the
old school aluminum 427 Cobra it replicates.
But enough about the trim, let's get to the REALLY amazing part of this
Cobra. The cars fresh 351 Windsor V8 has been bored and stroked to 408
cubic inches, features an 8.5 to 1 compression ratio and puts out a dragon
slaying 560 horsepower and 575 lb./ft.
of torque! The top end of the motor is beefed up by a Paxton Novi 1200 Supercharger with seven pounds of Boost, an Aeromotive high performance
electronic fuel pump with dual filters and a Boost adjustable fuel pressure regulator, and
a polished Edelbrock Performer RPM intake. Spark is provided by an MSD 6AL
ignition system, an MSD points distributor and MSD Super Conductor wires,
and slick ceramic coated headers make quick work of the spent gases.
Cooling isn't an issue with the cars fan cooled aluminum radiator and
polished water pump keeping everything in check, and the detailed build
even included grade-A ancillary components like a power brake Booster and engine oil cooler. This Cobras
entire custom fabricated aluminum engine bay is held together with aircraft
style aluminum rivets and features complete satin nickol AN fittings and
stainless steel braided hoses.
Bolted into this car's correct all tubular steel frame is a modern TKO600
5-speed performance transmission that is equipped with a McCleod scatter
shield and a Centerforce clutch and pressure plate. That transmission feeds
a tough Dana 45 limited slip rear end that does an excellent job of
transferring the cars massive power to the ground with very little drama.
At the front of the chassis, modern tubular upper and lower control arms
are equipped with a heavy duty sway bar and coil overs that house
performance Bilstein shocks. Out back, four more modern tubular control
arms are equipped with a second heavy duty sway bar and two more coil overs
with performance Bilstein shocks. Stops come courtesy of a four wheel
Wilwood brake system that sends fluid from a hydraulic clutch master
cylinder via braided hoses to red Superlite big bore four piston calipers
which clamp 13 inch slotted front Wilwood GT rotors and 12 inch slotted
rear rotors. Keeping this Cobra glued to the race track is a custom a set
of 18 inch American Racing Shelby Pin wheels that wear 275/35 front and
massive 335/30 rear Michelin Pilot Sport radials.
Jump inside the car and you'll find nice custom embroidered leather seats
that feature Cobra four point racing harnesses with cam-lock releases. The
cars painted dash is covered in tight black leather and houses an
autographed Carroll Shelby glove box beside correct Smiths black faced
gauges which include a traditional 8,000 RPM no redline tachometer. Below
the seats, new carpet is protected by rugged Superformance floor mats, and
at the sides of the seats, the cars fiberglass doors have been covered in
matching black leather. In front of the driver, a 15 inch leather wrapped
steering wheel features satin aluminum spokes and a correct Superformance
horn button, and beside the driver a chrome shifter and chrome hand brake
sit directly in front of a chrome fire extinguisher.
Don't miss this opportunity to own a spectacular turn-key car that's just
as nice as an original Cobra, and probably more fun to drive, at a fraction
of the price.
1966 Shelby AC Cobra 427 V8 Replica Four-Speed Jag Independent Rear
I thought you might like a look at this awesome 1966 Shelby AC Cobra
Replica. It's powered by a big 427 Ford V8, backed by a four-speed manual,
and a Jaguar independent rear. This is one wicked beast for sure. It has
the Halibrand knock off style wheels, Shelby bullet mirrors, chrome roll
hoop, coated side pipes, full custom gauges, and a mega watt stereo system.
This car fires right up and is ready to roll. I hope you find it
interesting, thanks for taking a look!

Shelby Cobra - The Engine Sounds Wild
http://www.kitcarconnection.com - James Martell takes his Shelby Cobra
replica for a cruise.
I decided to post this video for all the viewers of my other video who
complained about the engine being drowned out by the music. They have a
point. The engine noise of a Cobra with the famous sidepipes is music
enough to a car enthusiast.
If you are looking to hear a the roar of the engine this is your video.
The car in the video was built in 2004 in Calgary, Alberta by Peter
Jacobsen using car a Mk2 Roadster kit from Factory Factory Racing. The car
is powered with a 302 crate engine from Western Motorsports in Calgary,
James Martell is the Publisher of KitCarConnection.com, a website devoted
to kit cars and replicas. James Martell has long been an admirer of Carroll
Shelby and his cars. As an avid fan, he owns a Shelby Cobra kit car that he
drives in his leisure time. In his spare time he attends car shows, works
on his website, and spends time with his family.
The video was filmed in Surrey BC Canada.
