1965 Pontiac Tempest Wagon

http://www.barnfineclassics.com/inventory/1965-pontiac-tempest-wagon Here's a 65 Tempest wagon in amazing shape! It has a numbers matching 326ci V8 and a fresh 200-R4 4 speed automatic transmission! The engine has 18,000 miles on it since the rebuild so everything is in tip top condition! The car only has 92,000 original miles. The paint is in fantastic shape, especially considering it's 47 years old! It has restored 7x14 Rally II wheels with BFG tires, a new power brake system, new power steering pump, new power rear window motor, and tons of other new parts. The entire car has been gone through and is entirely mechanically sound. The interior has been restored using much of the original vinyl, has new carpet, a new headliner, new arm rests, and the AM radio works! Other options include front and rear sway bars, new 2 1/2 inch Exhaust and new splitters, new windshield and heater core, and way too much to list! Comes with a 4 barrel setup as well! This thing is ready for a road trip!

1965 Chevy Impala Stationwagon Gold
This would have been the chief rival to Ford for stationwagon duty! Nice three seat model, in great condition. Equipped the way most people would have had it...V8 and Powerglide. A nice way to see the USA, as Dinah Shore would have sung!

Big Burnouts: 1964 Pontiac Catalina Safari - /BIG MUSCLE
If you haven't figured it out by now, we love wagons on this show. To some they're a misunderstood breed, but to those in the know, they're amazing. Not only were the wagons of yesteryear known for their styling, but their capacity to haul as much cargo as a modern day pickup. This 1964 Pontiac Catalina Safari started off life as a Police Wagon, but was transformed by its owner into the kick-ass, tire-shredding monster you see here. With a Nelson Racing Engines 468 cid big-block under the hood, some updated suspension bits and a killer look, this big green machine is outside-the-box styling at its best. Owner: • Mike Artman

1964 Pontiac Tempest 455 V8 High Performance Muscle Car
I thought you'd like a look at this very clean 1964 Pontiac Tempest. This is a great example of Pontiac muscle that has been frame off restored and modified just enough to make it exciting! It's decked out in white paint with a red vinyl interior and factory steel wheels with correct hubcaps for a classic Pontiac look, but wait until you open up the hood. There you will find a completely rebuilt Pontiac 455 CID V8 complete with roller rockers, HO Exhaust manifolds, Edelbrock 4 barrel carburetor, Edelbrock Pontiac Torker II aluminum intake, Mallory Hy Fire electronic ignition, and a 4 core radiator. The transmission is a rebuilt turbo 350 Automatic with a 2500 stall, and all of this is run through a Ford 9" posi rear end with 3.73 gears. There's plenty of power to spare in this beast! Other options include hub caps, red line radial tires, factory style wheels, power steering, seat belts, bucket seats, and an in dash tachometer. Thanks for taking a look! There has been only 3 owners, and the current owner has owned in for 18 years and only put 1000 miles on it! Everything is original accept upper and lower radiator hoses and the battery. The engine is an inline 6, an Overhead Cam 6, backed by a 3 on the tree column shift manual transmission. The original Protect-o-Plate, owners manual, and service manual are included. PONTIAC - stock Pontiac Super Duty 421v8/405hp vs stock Chevy 409v8/409hp on DYNO
WATCH THE VID TO SEE HOW CLOSE THEY Dyno TO THEIR FACTORY 405hp/409hp ratings. Growing up.....Pontiac/Oldsmobile old timers/EXPERTS who taught me most of what I know, often told me Chevy rated their horsepower in a more optimistic way than say Oldsmobile or Pontiac. I've even heard Pontiac rated/tested their engines in a 100 degree room, compared to Chevy in a 60 degree room. These Dyno results seem to reflect that some of what I heard was true. Both of these engines are great, but the results do seem to show that Pontiac was not rating their horsepower worrying if it would cause "songs to be written" about their engines .... like the great song "She's real fine my 409"--(Chevy).

1964 Pontiac Catalina Safari Stationwagon Blu
You want to put excitement in your driving...try this 389 c.i. tri-power with manual four on the floor! This is a real sleeper..an auction car at Zephyrhills. A/C makes it practical year round, Note the rear facing third seat, a common practice at the time. It helped eliminate the problem of getting past the second seat to get to the back, but was a trade off in that it required you to board via the tailgate. Used most likely by small children or pets...makes you wonder about the safety of that arrangement!
