Just driving my mom's PT cruiser, talking about some of the features and bells and whistles, it's really a nice car with some serious pickup, just looks like, well it's a Pt Cruiser! haha
How to change your timing belt on your PT Cruiser
This was the second half of it but has the most important half tooth on the timing shown, first half was just tear down so i cut to the guts of it. The PT cruiser is known to have a belt hitting noise before the timing belt is actually due to be changed if you hear the tapping stop and get it replaced or bye bye valves , this is a interference motor meaning if timing belt breaks the valves will contact the pistons and major motor damage can or will occur . Also if your upper motor mount is not broken you will need to take the a/c line apart to get the bracket past it.

Here is my 2006 PT GT Cruiser 2.4L turboed Automatic. YES!! I said automatic but you know the difference is no Boost lag i am so used to manual trans but i decided to stop dealing with the hassle of stop and go shifting and make a project of this car.

Exhaust tip no worries no rice here so don't go buy a folgers can buy something that fits and defines the crackling and popping as well as whistling of the turbo.

Chrysler PT Cruiser GT TURBO (Thomas Bronzwaer - Look Ahead)
Heading towards Lübeck from Hamburg along E22 (1) highway (7 am 29.6.2007). I did hit the max speed (230km/h) but I decided to do that without the camera on keeping my both hands on the wheel. Vibration being really annoying due to unbalanced and worn out tyres. Music by Thomas Bronzwaer - Look Ahead (Original Mix) Armin Van Buuren state of trance 408 (sorry for the bad quality).
2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser GT Turbo 2.4L H.O
A Walk around of the PT Cruiser as it sits right now, no mods, 100% stock.
All turbos had a specially tuned suspension, large diameter chrome Exhaust tip, four-wheel disc ABS brakes, 17-inch silver painted cast aluminum wheels and Goodyear Eagle all season performance tires. Due to the suspension differences, the GT rode one-inch lower than the other models. The turbo's front fascia had an enlarged lower opening allowing more airflow to the turboIntercooler. The body side molding color matched the body color. On the left side of the lift-gate was a "GT" badge. On the right side was a "2.4L turbo" badge. The seats were finished in Dark Slate Gray Fresno cloth unique to the turbo model. The dash panel had unique accents, silver-faced gauges, a 140 mph speedometer, and a Satin Silver shift knob. "GT" was embroidered into the floor mats. An optional CPOS "R" (Customer Preferred ordering System) package added leather trimmed performance seats with perforated leather inserts, leather wrapped steering wheel, side air bags, driver power seat, power moon roof, AM/FM/CD/Cassette, and 17-inch chrome aluminum wheels.
