318 first testrun after quick rebuild
The 318 is getting better. This is it's first run on a teststand after
doing some minor enginework. Seems to run like I want it with a 340 cam and
500 Ede on an old Offi Singleplain
Testing the Dodge 318 Magnum engine before dropping it in my 85 D100
I got this engine out of a 94 Dodge ram van to put in my 85 D100 truck. The
truck used to have a slant 6/manual trans, but I got the truck without a
motor and figured I'd also make it fuel injected seeing how I had so much
success with my 5th avenue. The transmission is a A518 with overdrive.

We are rebuilding a GM 350 5.7 engine. Now in this particular case we
are also going to upgrade the engine to a 383 6.0 This is called
building a "stroker" motor. In other words we are increasing the "stroke"
of the engine which increased the torq & horsepower.
If you are able & wanting to rebuild an engine, this video should give you
a good overview of what to do. If you are having someone else build an
engine for you, you will be able to see what's involved in the process

1999 Dodge ram plenum repair
Fixing the plenum pan on my truck... its a common problem on 2nd gen dodge
rams. When the gasket blows it lets oil into the intake which gets sucked
into the cylinders... most trucks mine included were just re programed to
run diffrent instead of dodge fixing the plenum. After replacing my plenum
pan and intake gaskets, i have more power and it hasnt used any oil or
coolant in the past week.

I finally installed an Air Gap Intake Manifold and Big Gulp Throttle Body.
The Top-end and Mid-range of the power band have improved dramatically. I
am very happy with this purchase.
