Freight Train fires up at 2008 CHRR
Legendary twin engined gas dragster the Freight Train fires up in the pits. While it doesn't have the cackle of the nitro cars, the "whomp" of 16 cylinders of small block chevy and the cloud of blackie carbon is pretty awesome...not to mention the engineering feat of linking and synching two V8s is a neat deal. One of the few gas dragsters that made top fuelers nervous when running for Top Eliminator.

Here is another qualifying pass from No Problem Raceway 6.70 @ 206 mph! Keep in mind, the air conditions were not favorable on this day. What you're looking at is a 509 c.i. half-filled aluminum block with Brodix Big Duke heads, and a Kobelco 10-71 Hi-Helix strapped on top. This combo is making roughly 20 lbs of Boost, and approximately 1500 hp.
Wheelstanding Front Engine Dragster
Me driving my dads Pontiac 455 powered 1969 Front Engine Dragster at a Test-N-Tune at State Capitol Raceway on 10-5-08. Car ran 8.31 @ 159mph on this pass and has run a best of 8.16 @ 163mph.
Doug Evans Front Engine dragster.
First time out on 35% Nitro, 1.05 60ft. 3.29 330ft. It was pretty fat and bogged the engine. Lifted early coasted to a 5:30 1/8th mile. @ 129 mph. Not to bad for the first time on fuel. Gotta a lot to learn still.

Front Engine Dragster built in five months
In December 2009 I got the idea that it would be fun to have a FED so I asked a few questions and read a few threads on the HAMB. After wieghing all the advice and suggestions I bought a set of Mark Williams blue prints and got started. With the help of a good friend or two I had a can the was ready to race at Eagle Field in May 2010.
Front Engine Dragster - Trailer
Home built Digger needs a homebuilt trailer - here's my answer to both.
Trailer uses on board air to tilt the deck as well as support the car chassis during transport. My buddies make fun of it being overbuilt - but that was all done with a purpose - I am very happy with the way it pulls!!!
