2013 Ford Flex EcoBoost Car Video & Crossover Review
http://www.autobytel.com/ford/flex/2013/?id=32972 The 2013 Ford Flex is a crossover vehicle that has won the hearts of many owners out there. Part car, part van, and part station wagon; the Flex is full of surprises. Can any other station wagon haul seven people and all their gear with over 365 horsepower? There are 3 different trim levels starting with the SE which costs $30,885, the SEL which costs $33,225, up to the Limited EcoBoost AWD which costs $43,850.
There is quite a big gap there but the 3 different trims come in either FWD or AWD configurations. The SE and SEL are powered by a 3.5 Liter V-6 that pushes 285 horsepower while getting 18 MPG in the city and 25MPG on the highway. Step up to the twin-turbocharged V-6 EcoBoost engine with AWD will cost you a few miles per gallon (16 MPG in the city and 23 MPG on the highway), but you get 365 horsepower and 350 lb-ft. of torque in return.
The 3rd row seating features a 50/50 split folding bench. The 2013 Ford Flex is quite versatile and there is a ton of cargo room with over 80 cubic feet of storage space. The doors are large enough to make entering and exiting the vehicle a breeze. There is a lot of legroom for adults. Also the Flex can be purchased with all the Ford technology available like Voice Activated Navigation to the SYNC in-car connectivity system.
On the outside there is no mistaking the 2013 Ford Flex with any old crossover or station wagon. The styling is bold and Ford took some risks with the interesting grille up front, chrome accents, and the grooved door panels that run down the side of the Flex. The two-tone paint gives the Flex a modern throw-back feel. The large 20-inch aluminum wheels make a visual statement. The 2013 Ford Flex is definitely one of the coolest crossover cruisers out there.

10 of the Best Seven Seater SUVs - Autobytel's 7 Passenger SUV List
though more and more Americans are downsizing to save money, there is still
a need for 7 passenger SUVs and Crossovers. Let's take a look at 10 of the
best seven seater SUVs in the U.S.A.
10) Lincoln MKT - The Lincoln MKT is a luxury version of the Ford Flex with
a total cargo area of over 70 cubic feet. The engine that powers the MKT is
3.7 liter V-6 but there is also a 3.5 liter ecoBoost V-6 engine option. The Lincoln MKT can
be had with AWD too. But what really makes the MKT stand out from the crown
of seven seater SUVs is its unique styling featuring a massive front
9) Buick Enclave -- The Buick Enclave is a worth advisory for some of the 7
Passenger Luxury SUVs like the Acura MDX. The 3.6 liter direct injection
V-6 is a proven commodity having over 280 horsepower plus the ability
to tow 4500 lbs. Where this seven passenger SUV really shines is the
interior. The Enclave is comprised of high quality materials and top notch
technology which help the Enclave make it to the list of 10 best seven
8) Subaru Tribeca -- The Tribeca is Subaru's largest vehicle offering
boasting AWD and room for 7 passengers. With tons of interior room the
Tribeca is not only an effective hauler but it also a capable off-road SUV.
The 3.6 liter V-6 makes over 250 horsepower which is enough
to get the job done.
7) Acura MDX -- The Acura MDX is one of those vehicles that absolutely
nailed its mission statement by being a reliable premium SUV that is built
to last. Standard Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive makes this a sure footed
seven seater SUV. The 3.7 liter V-6 engine provides plenty of power. The
Acura MDX is one of those rare vehicles that owners want to keep forever.
6) Ford Expedition -- The Ford Expedition is a true body-on-frame SUV that
can handle 7 or 8 passengers and their gear thanks to 108 cubic feet or
storage. This large SUV can also tow over 9000 lbs. The 301 horsepower 5.4 liter V-8
might not be the most cutting edge but its works well when mated to the
6-speed automatic transmission. The Expedition is an old school SUV and you
can negotiate deep discounts on this seven seater vehicle.
5) Honda Pilot -- Honda was a little bit late to the SUV game with the
Pilot but they have quickly emerged as a measuring stick for other brands.
The 250 horsepower
3.5 liter V-6 engine is the smallest in the group but it does feature
cylinder deactivation to help save fuel. Perhaps the greatest attribute of
this 7 passenger SUV is that it's very easy to drive for its size. Honda
understands how these SUVs are being used so they made this one of the best
on the market for families.
4) Infiniti JX -- When Infiniti launched the 7 passenger JX crossover,
their #1 objective was to give shoppers a viable alternative to the Acura
MDX. Early sales success indicates they have a winner on their hands. The
aggressive styling, cutting edge entertainment, and trick motorized second
row make the JX one great choice as the best seven seater SUVs. The
Infiniti JX is built for comfort and the CVT trans eliminates shifting so
that the 3.5 liter V-6 engine keeps all 265 horses running smoothly.
3) Mazda CX-9 -- The Mazda CX-9 has remained relatively unchanged since its
debut back in 2007. Although this seven seater SUV is one of the oldest, it
still represents a great value. The 3.7 liter V-6 makes 273 horsepower and is mated to a
6-speed automatic. What the CX-9 may lack in flash more than makes up in
the areas of reliability and overall value. Mazda may be known more for
their Zoom Zoom cars but they can also make some great family automobiles
that can transport up to 7 people.
2) Nissan Armada -- When Nissan launched the Armada, the intention was to
put a dent in Suburban and Expedition sales by providing a full-sized truck
based vehicle with Japanese engineering. The Armada's 5.7 liter V-8 engine
is more than capable of carrying 7 passengers, their luggage, and a towing
a larger object weighing over 9000 lbs. While there are many 7 seater SUVs
and crossovers out there, few can transport them as comfortably as the
1) Chevrolet Suburban -- At the top of the Autobytel best seven passenger
car list is the Chevy Suburban. This is one of the longest running
nameplates in the automotive world spanning many decades. There is a reason
for this; the Suburban can carry 7 or 8 passengers, all their gear, and
more with a very comfortable ride.

2013 Ford Explorer Sport EcoBoost 4x4 Test Drive & Crossover SUV Video Review
http://www.autobytel.com/ford/explorer/2013/sport-4x4/?id=32972 The Ford
Explorer started the SUV movement back in 1991 with a simple two box body
on frame design that brought utility to a whole new level. However things
have changed for the familiar Blue Oval badged hauler, and now the Explorer
is much more forgiving crossover than the SUV it once was thanks to 21st
century unibody construction, since it essentially rides on a car chassis.
However this hasn't stopped Ford from stiffening up the chassis,
shoehorning their big 3.5 Liter twin turbocharged EcoBoost V6 under the hood and sending power to
all four wheels to create the 2013 Ford Explorer Sport, which just so
happens to be the most expensive Explorer that money can buy, with a base
price of over $40k
With the 2013 Ford Explorer Sport 4x4, the company has gone all out. On the
outside the first thing you notice is the technical wrap meaning Ford
basically blacked everything out. The high gloss grille is combined with
low gloss mesh which sweep into the cool cut headlamps. The lower bumper
has a blacked out look with integrated fog lights. The Explorer Sport has
20-inch wheels wrapped in sticky rubber which are a half-inch wider than
the standard Explorer tires. On the side the sills, cargo bars, and side
mirrors are all blacked out. Everything looks great together and you know
the Explorer Sport means business.
The great looks are not where the 2013 Ford Explorer Sport ends; one look
under the hood reveals some serious power. The engine is a powerful and fun
3.5 liter V-6 EcoBoost motor. Output
is a hefty 365 horsepower and 350 lb-ft. of
torque. The 6-speed automatic transmission has paddle shifters too. Fuel
Economy checks in at 17 MPG in the city and 23 MPG on the highway.
The Ford Explorer Sport is actually a sporty vehicle on the road. The EcoBoost engine puts out more horsepower than the Porsche
Cayenne V-6. The Crossover SUV handles well and corners very flat thanks to
the extra engine brace, AWD system, and sticky wide tires.

2013 Ford Mustang 5.0 GT Test Drive & Sports Car Video Review
http://www.autobytel.com/ford/Mustang/2013/?id=32972 The 2013 Ford
Mustang 5.0 GT continues
the heritage of the pony car in a big way. The base Mustang comes with a powerful V-6
engine while the GT gets the venerable 5.0 liter V-8 engine. The Mustang is a no non-sense muscle car
that combines everything from the old iconic car and combines it with
modern technology. The result is a great performing sports car that pays
homage to the Mustangs of
year gone by. The 2013 Ford Mustang base V-6 costs $22,200 while
the 5.0 GT Coupe starts at $30,300.
The 2013 Mustang GT is
powered by a 5.0 liter V-8 engine that makes 412 horsepower and 390 lb-ft. of
torque. The engine features a high 11:1 compression ratio, Coil on Plug
ignition, and variable camshaft timing. Transmission choices are either a
six-speed manual or a six-speed SelectShift automatic. Fuel economy figures
are 15 MPG in the city and 26 MPG on the highway.
The 2013 Ford Mustang
features a new front end that looks similar to the Shelby GT500 with its
aggressive front bumper and splitter that adds downforce. The hood features
functional heat extractors. The wheels are 18-inch painted aluminum pieces.
Out back the taillights have LEDs integrated in them which really pop at
night. On the inside the 2013 Ford Mustang GT also revisits some former
glory with a big dose of modern technology. Retro meets cool thanks to the
stylish gauges and the double dip dash. The Recaro seats hint at the true
sports car heritage underneath. These seats are comfortable and very
supportive. The aluminum accents give the Mustang some flair while the interior
lighting can be adjusted to fit your mood. The Shaker Audio System includes
a few subwoofers.
The 2013 Ford Mustang GT is
a car you can have a blast in. No longer is the Mustang a straight-line Muscle car,
instead it has morphed into a true sports car with a very affordable price
tag. You can order the 2013 Ford Mustang as a coupe or a convertible.
There is a great variety of extras, options, and packages to make your Mustang stand out from the

2013 Ford Taurus SHO EcoBoost Test Drive & Car Video Review
http://www.autobytel.com/ford/taurus/2013/sho-awd/?id=32972 The 2013 Ford
Taurus SHO is a comfortable cruiser with a mean bite. This full-sized sedan
packs 365 horsepower while getting
good fuel economy numbers. The SHO is the top of the line Taurus model
packed with all the features and options that Ford could cram into this
vehicle. The base price on the Taurus SHO is $39,200 and there are really
no other vehicles in this segment that can match the performance at this
The 2013 Ford Taurus SHO is powered by a twin-turbo 3.5 liter V-6 EcoBoost engine that gives the power of a V-8
with the fuel economy of a V-6. This engine also features direct injection
which sprays fuel directly into the cylinder; which in turn gives you
optimal performance with lower emissions. The power output is 365 horsepower and 350 lb-ft. of
torque. The 6-speed automatic transmission features steering wheel mounted
shifters. Power is put down to the ground through an AWD system that uses
Torque Vectoring which keeps the car in control by applying brake pressure
between the front and rear wheels. This not only keep the passengers safe
and the drive in control but it also allows the Taurus SHO to hug corners.
On the outside the 2013 Ford Taurus SHO gets a couple of updates over the
previous model. There are new projector beam headlights with daytime
running LED lights that make a real visual impact. The SHO model gets a
unique piano-black mesh grille with chrome accent pieces. Also exclusive to
the SHO model is the sporty and functional rear spoiler that increases
downforce. Underneath the full-size sedan lives a true dual Exhaust system that not only aids in the
performance department; but it also looks and sounds cool. 19-inch aluminum
rims are standard on the 2013 Ford Taurus SHO model but you can upgrade to
either 20-inch machined or 20-inch aluminum wheels wrapped in high
On the inside the 2013 Ford Taurus SHO sports Multi-contour seats with
active motion which give the front passengers a lower back and upper leg
message. These leather trimmed units have both a heating and cooling
mechanism built in. The push button start is a must for any technologically
advanced sedan. The instrument cluster features a speedometer in the middle
surrounded by a LCD screen on each side that is customizable to display the
information that is most important to the driver. Both the steering wheel
and the voice activated SYNC system can control the radio, phone,
navigation, climate controls, and more. The stereo system features 12
speakers located throughout the interior of the car and HD Radio is
standard on the SHO. All of the technology in the 2013 Ford Taurus SHO is
easily within reach.

What Camerons Car Reviews has to say about the Flex: When the Flex was
introduced in 2009, many consumers thought it was a unique full sized
crossover SUV. One question, is it a real crossover? Somewhat, it's half
wagon and half crossover and we love it that it's unique. For 2013 the Flex
gets a host of new updates including a reworked interior and Front
headlights that make it look more sporty and fresh for the competition.
Power comes from a 3.5 L V6 or step up and get a 3.5 L Twin turbo V6 and they are all made into a 6-Speed
Automatic. Room on the interior is somewhat good and it's very luxurious.
Our tester came in at around $50,000, so is it worth it? Well some people
might think so because it's unique however we would buy it if the price was
lowered by about $7,000, even Ford has it's own full Size crossover the
Explorer that has more room inside and you get more bang for the buck. All
in all it's a very great crossover from Ford, we think that the people that
like unique cars will buy this crossover.

Back in 2009 the Ford Flex was the first car we reviewed when we rebooted
the blog, now three and a half years later, Ford has refreshed the Flex and
we want to see how far it has come. When we reviewed back in '09 we were
blown away by how good it was, does it still remain that way? And, can we

Subscribe today for all the latest reviews!
More than just a "sport" badge, Ford's new Explorer with the 3.5 EcoBoost delivers some driving enjoyment from
behind the wheel with not much fuel penalty from the base 3.5 V6. Our only
complaints are a tight 3rd row and a hefty price tag, making it one of the
most expensive in the class. If you can swing the cost, you will feel as if
you are driving the most premium feeling family crossover in the segment.
2013 Ford Escape Review
Will Ford regret its dramatic design shift for the once-square Escape? And
will the lack of a hybrid option send fuel-economy seekers elsewhere?
If it ain't broke, replace it. That, at least, seems to be the motto at
Ford when it comes to the brand's Escape compact crossover.
