Honda Civic: The 70's and 80's
50th Video made by 222Jacko's Videos The first generation Honda Civic was introduced in 1972, but sold as a 1973 model. Equipped with a 1,169 cc (71.3 cu in) four-cylinder engine, the first generation Civic was designed to compete with American compact vehicles and offered features such as front power disc brakes and reclining vinyl bucket seats and AM radio. The Civic was available as a coupe, both a three and a five door hatchback, as well as a five door station wagon. Due to the 1973 oil crisis, demand for fuel efficient vehicles was high. The Civic's build quality matched its fuel economy, allowing it to succeed in the market. These second generation Honda Civic was introduced in 1980. It was larger, had a more angular shape, and came with increased engine power. All Civic engines now used the CVCC design, which added a 3rd valve per cylinder; this introduced lean burn swirl technology. The base 1335 cc ("1300") engine made 55 hp (41 kW), with an optional 1488 cc ("1500") engine giving 67 hp (50 kW). Three transmissions were offered: a four-speed manual (on base models), a five-speed manual, and a two-speed semi-automatic that was unique to the industry. The third generation was released in 1984. The separate five-door hatchback and wagon models were merged into a four-door "shuttle wagon." An additional two-seat coupe style—labeled CRX—was introduced, noted for its compact dimensions and light weight. The third generation Civic saw the introduction of the long running four-cylinder D series engine including a new 1.5 L (91.5 cu in) CVCC engine. 1984 also saw the release of a high-performance Si model for the Japanese market, featuring upgraded suspension and the 1.6 L (97.6 cu in) DOHC ZC engine which was rated at 130 PS. Si models were offered in the US as a 3-door Civic Si hatchaback and the CRX Si variant with a 91 horsepower (68 kW) fuel injected SOHC 12-valve engine. A 4WD model was introduced for the first time in 1984, and later upgraded in 1987. For 1988 the Civic was redesigned again, with increased dimensions and a lower hood line. A wide range of models and trim levels were offered for various markets around the world. All US models featured fuel injection, but carbureted models were still available elsewhere. The fourth generation saw the introduction of a fully independent rear suspension across the entire model range.

Honda Civic Rebirth
My 1991 Honda Civic hatchback rebuild. The car was in really bad shape and desperately needed TLC, so I went ahead and restored her from scratch with the help of a few buddies who run a shop. The whole process took about 9 months, hence 'The Rebirth' title which seems to go along well like it's a new born baby. The motor is B16A with: CTR pistons, full Omni valvetrain, CAT cams, ITR IM, Mild P&P head, H22A injectors, OBD1 converted, and stock B16A header. The Exhaust is Apexi WS2. The actual numbers at the dynapack are pretty embarrassing (I was just trying to get her to run efficiently for the emissions test, which she passed no problem). I have no idea what this motor is capable of. I'll post more vids once she's fully tuned. Props to Nick at Teknotik for the tuning. Honda-Tech: kim_2_da_chee *Parts alone for this project costed about $5K to 6K. I did the labor with the help of my buddies and bodywork was done by an affiliate. So I spent roughly $10K in total. I plan to keep this car forever so I don't see 10K as much money at all.

How To Reset SRS Light on a Honda
This is how to reset (disable) airbag SRS light procedure for honda and acura vehicles. Civic, EP3, Fit, and many more honda/acura vehicle. Espanol. (Hard part is finding the location to plug). This video shows how to reset your SRS light in case you forgot to plug in a air bag or repaired a broken seat belt. ONLY unplug that cable. You do not need any special tools other than a wire and some wire cutters. There is a tools specifically for this but it is pointless seeing as how it is only used for this specifically. BB6 Prelude Apex'i WSII Review (kinda)
Just wanted to give people who considered purchasing this Exhaust an idea of how it sounds inside the car. I tried to do different things so you could hear what it sounds like under different conditions (such as normal driving, full throttle, vtec, in a parking garage, etc). I personally love this Exhaust. Other than it hanging very low (which I 'fixed'), its a very high quality Exhaust. Definitely worth the money in my opinion. Btw, the car has other mods also, such as a short ram intake with bpi flowstack, dc header, megan racing test pipe, 8.9lb bisimoto flywheel, exedy stage 1 clutch, and a couple other little things. Hope this review helps!
