Featured Elite: Ray Briones' Turbocharged CRX

Full article here: http://www.skunk2.com/id/701/Featured-Elite-Ray-Briones-turbocharged-CRX/ Street Team Elite Ray Briones made the trip from El Paso,Texas to California earlier this year for what was likely the biggest weekend for him and his CRX. Planning to simply transport himself and his turbocharged CRX to the annual all-Honda Eibach meet and hang in Southern California for a few days, Ray's trip quickly transitioned from a casual visit to a media extravaganza. Ray's CRX, once featured in Honda Tuning magazine, was approached and captured by S3 Magazine and once again by Skunk2 for his own Street Team Elite video feature. Ray and company toured the Skunk2 facility, swooped up on their share of Skunk2 swag, and hung out with the Skunk2 staff. Check out Ray's Street Team Elite video and take a peek at S3 Magazine's issue number 21 for even more photos and information.

Boosted K-Series CRX
Last time we met up with El Paso, Texas resident and Street Team Elite Ray Briones, he was here for the annual all-Honda Eibach meet. This year he decided to make the trip again, but he didn't want to bring his car in the same state that it was in last year. Ray and his crew figured: What better way to return than with a bigger and more powerful engine? Check out the video and see what Mr. Briones has been up to.

Featured Elite: Frank "Downstar" Garcia's RHD Civic
Street Team Elite Frank Garcia's RHD Civic hatchback is no stranger to the streets of Southern California and its show scene. But despite its notoriety, the car failed to measure up to Frank's standards. Until now. Relatively new to Skunk2's Street Team Elite, Frank recently overhauled his real-deal EG6, treating its bay to Lambo green paint, his signature Bolt Boys hardware, and a full arsenal of Skunk2 gear both inside and out. It's guys like Frank who just won't settle, earning him a spot amongst the Street Team Elite.

Featured Elite: Ben "Stunnaben" Howard
Full Article Here: http://www.skunk2.com/id/787/Featured-Elite-Ben-Stunnaben-Howard/ South Carolinian Ben "Stunnaben" Howard's passion for all things Honda is no secret. His loyalty toward the brand began before him even owning a single Honda product. As early as 1998, Howard's enthusiasm—as well as the "Stunnaben" nickname—took shape thanks to internet forums like the original Hybrid Page and purehonda.com. The nickname started as a joke because of his affinity toward chrome and polished wheels and has since been solidified. Howard's since gone on to not only build his version of the ultimate street car but has also launched a career for himself as an automotive photojournalist, regularly contributing to titles such as Honda Tuning magazine, and playing a pivotal role in the growth of the annual Southern California all-Honda Eibach meet. Howard's no stranger to putting together a well-rounded Honda, and his latest Civic Si is no exception. Plans called for it to be better than any he'd previously attempted and to be driven cross-country in what Howard refers to as his "Stunnaben Tour." To do this, he partnered with Skunk2 to outfit his K-series and suspension with top-of-the-line components. In early 2011 and with his project completed, Howard set off for his California destination, which consisted of a stop at the Skunk2 facility. As usual, the cameras were running. Follow the link for Stunnaben's official Street Team Elite video feature. Featured Elite: Loreto Garcia's "Darkside" Civic Hatchback
Full article here: http://www.skunk2.com/id/715/Featured-Elite-Loreto-Garcias-Darkside-Civic-H atchback/ Hailing from San Jose Calif., Street Team Elite and recent Super Street magazine cover car owner Loreto Garcia grew up among Northern California's Bay Area street racing scene. Years ago he made his mark, laying down 11-second quarter-mile passes, earning him a spot as one of Darkside Racing crew's fastest. After meeting his goal at the track, Loreto turned his attention toward having one of the best looking Hondas in San Jose. He stepped up once again, proving his capabilities with this beautiful Civic hatchback, featuring engine and suspension components exclusively from Skunk2.

Featured Elite: Alex "Sheepey" Soto
Alex Soto. Sheepey. Heard of him? Of course you have...at least, if you're into Hondas. Southern California's Sheepey is a passionate Honda fan who never seems to sit still when it comes to his elaborate creations. When some of us might consider a car "finished, ready to enjoy," Sheepey's the guy who's already begun planning an updated version, the "2.0" of what he'd just seemingly completed. A master of detail and a man with a constant itch for more horsepower, Sheepey's put himself on the Honda map, earning himself multiple magazine covers, feature articles, and accolades from the online masses. But perhaps all of this is the standard when you're among the Street Team Elite. Critics may say that Sheepey's all too quick to retire whatever current project he's working on for something fresher, but really, has any good artist ever sat still? Besides, doubting him only makes him raise the bar, making it even more difficult for the rest to catch up.

Featured Elite: Arn Reyes' Hydrogen-Powered GS-R
Full article here: http://www.skunk2.com/id/601/Featured-Elite-Arn-Reyes-Hydrogen-Powered-GS-R / When you think of today's OGs, who comes to mind? The internet celebrity with the massive post count, a join date of 2002, and a huge following of co-signers who've never actually met him? Or do you think of the guy who's been doing his own thing since before internet forum build threads? Street Team Elite member Arn Reyes doesn't need to name drop; he also didn't make a name for himself by means of any build thread. Arn's been making waves in the Honda scene for years, since the days when notoriety had more to do with what you did on the streets and on the track and less with what you did with your keyboard. Arn probably won't tell you that he's been around, and he won't claim that he's any sort of OG, but his build arguably does that for him.

Featured Elite: Karl Basa's All-Motor Civic Hatchback
Full article here: http://www.skunk2.com/id/610/Featured-Elite-Karl-Basas-All-Motor-Civic-Hatc hback/ They say you should never judge a book by its cover. If Street Team Elite Karl Basa were a book, then that is surely something you wouldn't want to do. From its exterior, it's obvious just how clean his Civic hatchback with its mean all motor setup is; that's the easy part. But don't be fooled, as cars are not Karl's only passion. A classically trained musician, you might be surprised as to what Karl's Civic's radio might be tuned to...if it had a radio. Instead, Karl prefers the sweet hum and crackling VTEC of his fully built, naturally aspirated B-series that sits under his Civic's hood, fitted with a complete Skunk2 top end. Click the video for more of Karl's NA, Skunk2-powered Civic.

Matt Farah's $500 Lemon -- /LIVE AND LET DRIVE
Alex teams up with TUNED's Matt Farah for a 3,000-mile trip into the wilds of Canada to pick up a Honda CRX Farah bought for $500 -- sight-unseen. Will it be the perfect 24 Hours of Lemons entry, or too much crap to handle?

Featured Elite: Morgan Jade's Race-Prepped CTR
Full article here: http://www.skunk2.com/id/571/Featured-Elite-Morgan-Jades-Race-Prepped-CTR/ One thing about Skunk2 is that we strive to be unique. The same goes for our Street Team Elite. Morgan Jade is a unique member of Skunk2's Street Team Elite simply because she's its only female member. She's also the only member with a real-deal, RHD Civic Type R. Morgan's performance parts cocktail makes for a vehicle that is well suited for track purposes, yet still drivable for lunch meetings and coffee runs. Morgan stopped by Skunk2 headquarters for a visit a while back; we took advantage of the situation by capturing some video of her and the CTR. Check it out below and hear what the lady of Skunk2's Street Team Elite has to say.

Featured Elite: Ejay Adriano's RHD Integra
Full article here: http://www.skunk2.com/id/756/Featured-Elite-Ejay-Adrianos-RHD-Integra/ In the midst of those who claim that their "builds" are completely self-inspired, there's Ejay Adriano, a guy who admittedly says that his right-hand drive, '91 Integra is simply a product of situations beyond his control. Skunk2 Street Team Elite Adriano's Integra is more than something built on credit card debt for the sole purpose of a magazine feature and a quick resale, though; he considers it a part of his family. Watch the video and learn more about Adriano, how his Integra came to be, and why he chooses Skunk2.
