Emelia’s Maiden Voyage in the 1200HP Camaro Restomod

December 20th, 2023

Pretty Emelia Hartford is treating us to a test drive in her fresh build. It’s a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro and she’s well heeled for canyon roads or the drag strip. We’ll go to Emelia and let her shuck out the details. Her name is Sophie and under her hood is a Texas Speed built 408 cubic-inch stroker V8 with a pair of Turbonetics 6566 turbochargers. Features for Emelia’s daily driver will include power steering – with a hydraboost brake setup – and cold air conditioning. Fuel delivery is left a Holley Dominator setup, including the fuel pump. Fade to Black – 600HP Supercharged Shoebox Chevy Restomod

November 17th, 2023

Okay, you can’t talk about this car without some mention of the awesome paint work. The old pros at Kelly and Son Crazy Painters created this aesthetic delight of a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air coupe. It all begins with a black basecoat topped with various shades of Raspberry Candy and Black faded to absolute perfection. This thing tickles my eyes. Underneath that beautiful paint and bodywork is a maze of aftermarket retro body panels bolted to a Roadster Shop chassis. The suspension is also from Roadster Shop. The brakes are Baer (four-wheel disc), and the wheels are Budnik. Under the Read More

Bagged 1967 Ford F100 Pays Tribute to Owner’s Deceased Wife

May 28th, 2022

Like a big old pig with a belly that drags the ground, this pickup gets about as low as you can go. What started out as a cab-only project (with a straight six) has morphed into this incredible cruiser that we are blessed to witness today. Lou’s wife (also a 1967 model) has recently passed away so, excuse him for being a bit emotional. He built this cruiser as a rolling tribute to her. The project began the right way; with a Roadster Shop rolling chassis (including Baer brakes). Lou added AccuAir air ride on all four corners. This feature Read More

LS7 Swapped Gen III Camaro IROC-Z

April 24th, 2019

Hello race fans. Meet Bruce, with Hawks Motorsports and (customer) Brad’s unique 1987 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z. With less than 10k on the odometer, Brad decided to do something special with his slug of a Gen III Camaro. He dropped it by Hawks Motorsports (Easley, S.C.) for a huge dose of TLC. Hawks decided to integrate the slo-poke IROC-Z with a much faster 2015 Gen VI Chevrolet Camaro Z28. After the engine bay was spruced up with a little clear-coat (Kolorworks); out came the meager 5.0-liter “pollution solution” V8 and the mighty LS7 (7.0-liter) all-aluminum V8 took its place. Wizard Cooling Read More

TT 1964 Dodge Polara Rat Rod

November 29th, 2017

This video takes us (step-by-step) through the drastic rebuild of a rusted out 1964 Dodge Polara. Proving that one man’s trash is another man’s treasure, the crew at Roadster Shop (Mundelein, IL) transformed this eyesore into a radical racing machine. Check it out. This car belongs to Jesse James – custom motorcycle magnate from Huntington Beach, CA – and not the legendary outlaw or the tight end for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Jesse is widely known for building custom bikes, cars, knives, and almost anything else that can be crafted with a little skill and a lot of elbow grease. Whether Read More
