Modified Mk5 Supra vs. Stock Mustang GT500 – Street Hits

March 8th, 2022

It’s import versus domestic on these streets tonight! We have a heavily modified 2020 Toyota Supra rolling out against a stock (almost) 2021 Ford Mustang GT500.

The Toyota features a 3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder engine with a single turbocharger. The engine and transmission have both been built to high-performance specifications, but the turbo remains stock. Other modifications include an aftermarket intake manifold, a catback performance exhaust system and a methanol injection setup. Oh, it has also been tuned to run E85 fuel.

In stock trim, the Mustang GT500 is considerably more powerful than a factory Supra. The pony car features a supercharged 5.2-liter V8 engine capable of putting approximately 600hp to the rear wheels. The Ford has been modified with an aftermarket intake manifold. It has not been tuned.

The first race of the evening is from 55 mph and the second is from 45 mph. Enjoy this extremely close street racing action.
