Litchfield Nissan GT-R vs. Porsche 911 Turbo S – Drag Race

January 3rd, 2019

In case you were wondering about the Litchfield moniker; they are a one-stop performance house for European and Japanese vehicles. They manufacture and sell everything from turbo kits to suspension components. They are keen in the world of high-performance vehicle modification, tuning, development, and testing, as well.

The Nissan featured in this clip is a Litchfield Track Edition package car. While it is not one of their most extreme packages, it is well suited for our racing today. In this video, all three cars are powerful street versions, but none are race cars. This keeps things more competitive and interesting, I believe.

The Litchfield Track Edition includes lightweight body panels, a seam-welded shell, upgraded suspension arms and dampers, hollow anti-sway bars (front and rear), and forged wheels. Less restrictive exhaust, upgraded engine management software, and Bosch Motorsports oversize fuel injectors help to maximize horsepower. Stiffer Eibach coil springs and Bilstein struts give the Track Edition that predatory stance and a better overall driving feel. Enough about parts. Let’s go racing!

The 911 Turbo S is top-of-the-line at Porsche (572hp) and the BMW M5 is capable of producing 591hp. All three of these cars accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in approximately 3-seconds.

This should be one heckuva race. Will the Litchfield Nissan be able to win? Have a look and find out.
