850HP Subaru WRX – Street Hits

January 30th, 2020

Some have called the Subaru WRX STi a VW on steroids. While there are some basic similarities, there are also some big differences as well. The boxer engine of the Subaru lends to the association of the two imports, but the Volkswagen lacks the predatory feel of the WRX once you get on the street. Speaking of which, let’s get this hot rod Subaru south of the border for some hijinks on the interstate. Prepared by Misfire Motorsports (MMS), this 2007 Subaru WRX STi has been dramatically enhanced to improve performance. As seen in this video, the car is running Read More

900HP Subaru – Journey to the 8-Second Quarter-Mile

I got mad respect for this father/son team representing Cuba. Pops has been a technician for more than sixty-years. He got junior started early in the engine building game and it’s finally paying off. The two have combined their resources on this 900hp Subaru with outstanding results. Like most of us, they are looking to shave time from their next pass down the strip. Today, these guys are looking for that elusive 8-second pass in the quarter-mile. Their 2005 Subaru WRX STi is a work of art. With hundreds of passes in the books, this Fuji Heavy Industries stud comes Read More

This is one hot night of down South jukin’ – Mexico style. This video features four heavy-hitters. I’m talking about skillfully modified vehicles and accomplished drivers. The crew down at RevWorks (in sunny Florida) has put together a mind numbingly powerful 2015 Subaru WRX STi. At 3,386-pounds, the STi rolls away from the factory with 305hp and 290 lb.-ft. of torque. RevWorks adds an upgraded turbo kit (ETS 6266), a set of Stage 2 cylinder heads with a full compliment of GFC valve train components, a Radium dual-pumper intake setup, and a closed deck engine block stuffed full of Wiseco 10:1 pistons. It’s running 38 psi of boost and E85 fuel. This video Read More

Subaru STi Breaks 10-Second 1/4-Mile

Subtly named “Vader”, this import is definitely looking to pillage the galaxy in the name of speed. This clip comes to you from the “All Out Call Out” in Albuquerque, New Mexico and features some competitive heads-up dig racing. Stealing the show is a blacked out sedan of the Fuji Heavy Motors Camp. A major turbo upgrade and this thing is running in the high nines. A few more enhancements and who knows what’s possible. At the root of the propulsion solution is a GT 4094 67-millimeter turbocharger forcing copious amounts of air into a stock engine. The transmission is Read More
