630HP Restomod 1965 Corvette Widebody

May 14th, 2022

Our boy Shawn (from Autotopia) has done it again. He located this crazy 1965 Chevy Corvette with a widened body (6-inches) sitting on a nearly stock chassis modified to accept a C4 front suspension. In the rear, we have an independent torque-arm design with a Dana 44 Trac Loc differential. The Forgeline wheels are 18-inch (12.5-inch rear, 11.5-inch front) This is a car that is equally suited for the dragstrip or the autocross course. The engine is a Lingenfelter built LS7 7.0-liter all-aluminum dry sump V8 capable of producing 630hp. By the way, it’s naturally aspirated. The 3-inch exhaust system Read More

427 Powered Galaxie 500 Restomod

April 27th, 2022

By definition, a restomod is a vehicle that has everything it needs to look vintage and run better than new. With 635hp on tap, this 1964 Ford Galaxie 500 is that type of creation. Let’s join Shawn (of Autotopia), who is with the owner of this cream puff, and let him give us the low-down. Subtle changes to the exterior of this car make it a one-of-a-kind treasure. The interior is more of the same. Yards of beautiful leather with minor changes that make it totally unique. Air ride suspension on all four corners help to yield the car’s athletic Read More

1988 Ford Mustang Widebody – Coyote Swapped Pro-Touring Fox Body

December 17th, 2021

Thanks again to Shawn from Autotopia for finding this one-of-a-kind Pro-Touring Fox Body for our enjoyment. This exceptional restomod is well equipped to take on street, track or strip. C’mon and let’s get a closer look. Under the hood is a 2018 model 5.0-liter Coyote motor. It has been beefed-up with such internals as ARP fasteners and MMR chain guides. Although the engine is (currently) naturally aspirated, it is built to accommodate a power-adder in the near future. The Coyote is pushing 500whp through a Tremec T-56 manual transmission with a McLeod clutch. It weighs approximately 3,000-pounds and is running Read More

1956 Chevrolet 3100 Pickup – Slammed Street Beast

September 28th, 2021

Bringing us quality builds from the left coast is a way of life for Shawn from Autotopia. This time he has delivered with a slammed 1956 Chevy 3100 Pickup. If this truck looks a skosh unconventional, it is because the stock stepside bed has been removed and a fleetside bed from a 1959 model has been installed. Looks great to me. First things first; the old straight 6 has been replaced with a fuel injected LS2 V8 (6.0-liter) truck motor mated to a 4L80E automatic transmission. The rear end is a 9-inch Ford with 4.11:1 final drive gears. The built Read More
