White Knuckle Dodge Demon – 840+HP Stock Internals

Greetings racing fans and welcome back to the beautiful Palm Beach International Raceway, in sunny Florida, for a running of the White Knuckle Demon.

The 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon was offered for a single model year and billed as the most powerful vehicle ever mass produced in the U.S. With a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 HEMI engine, the stock (4,400-pound) Demon is capable of 840hp (770lb-ft. of torque). The big HEMI is mated to an 8-speed automatic and backed by a Dana rear end with a 3.09:1 final drive gear ratio. Adding fuel to the fire, the White Knuckle treatment (950hp) includes a high-performance tune, oversize (1300cc) fuel injectors, upper and lower (supercharger) pulley upgrades, and a less restrictive exhaust system with a cat-less mid-pipe. Modifications are expected to continue with possibly a camshaft upgrade and supercharger porting, in the near future.

After a successful warm-up pass of 9.39-seconds @ 143 mph, the White Knuckle Demon settles in for a personal best quarter-mile pass of 9.26-seconds @ 144 mph (1.31 60-foot).
