1291HP Street Sleeper Sedan – Dyno and Test Drive

While this sedan doesn’t exactly look like your typical grocery-getter, you don’t see many 1,200+hp rides with four-doors and a baby seat in the back. Billed (by AG Motosports) as the Mitsubishi Evolution with the most horsepower on this planet, this thing hit 1,291whp and 767-lb.-ft. of torque on the dyno and then hit the streets for some test-abuse. This ‘Mr. Biscuit’ is well heeled with a built 2.0-liter – and I mean built – with GRP aluminum connecting rods and an AG Competition cylinder head with Ferrea valves, Supertech valve springs, and a set of AG racing spec camshafts. Twin Turbo Chevy Powered Mustang

You read it right – this great looking blue Ford Mustang Boss is now the CEO. After replacing the meager Ford mill with a massive 568-cubic-inch monster Chevrolet big block, this Mustang commands respect on any track. In addition to the built big block, this blue beauty has a pair of Garrett GT 4788 turbos and a 2-speed TH400 transmission. Running 26-inch tires, in the Gangster Class at King of the Streets (Chicago), this Ford made its way all the way from Arkansas despite losing a back glass in the previous weekend’s racing. He takes out a pair of Mustangs Read More

Single Elimination Street Racing

Take a gander at some old school, single elimination-style street racing, on a deserted 2-lane country road (the bales of hay were my only clue). The preliminary round features a Corvette and a first-generation Mustang. The potent Ford gets the hole-shot but can’t seem to get hooked up on the gear changes. The ‘Vette claims the victory and moves on. Next, we have a Cadillac CTS-V vs. a GenV Mustang. The Caddy pulls the Ford throughout and takes a first round win. Now, we’re on to a contest between a nitrous C6 Corvette and a nitrous Fox body Mustang – Read More

Launch Control in the Lamborghini Huracan LP610-4

In this video we go through the steps to use launch control or thrust mode in the Lamborghini Huracan LP610-4.  The Huracan is really the first Lamborghini that you can really use launch control without worrying about the transmission, clutch or other wear type items.  With the older Gallardos and current Aventadors and their single clutch setups their launches are just brutal and really make you feel bad about abusing the car. This isn’t the case with the Huracan and it’s 7 speed dual clutch transmission along with variable all wheel drive system that can push just the right amount of power Read More

Corvette Z06 with Rear Mount Turbo

This is another turbocharged Z06 Corvette – with a unique twist. Instead of the run-of-the-mill front mounted, flow-through turbo, this ‘Vette has the turbo mounted in the rear. This design helps to remove some heat from the engine compartment. The turbocharger is connected to the exhaust near the outlets and an air-to-water intercooler is mounted in the trunk, almost directly above the turbocharger. A second heat-exchanger is located in front of the radiator. This car is still in the developmental stages and already running in the 9-second range. With a few more events under their belt, this team figures to Read More

Nissan Drone Does 0 to 60 mph in 1.3-Seconds

Today Nissan introduces us to their new high-performance drone. Its sole purpose is to track and film the 2017 Nissan GT-R during high-speed maneuvers but today it will race against the GT-R. This impressive drone is built by Tornado XBlades Racing and piloted by James Bowles (2015 British National Drone Racing Champ). The race will take place on the 1/2-mile track at Silverstone (U.K.). The GT-R top speed is an electronically controlled 195 mph. It should leave the drone in the dust (with its top speed of just 114 mph) but curves and hills must be taken into account. This Read More

No Prep Gangster – Fox Body Mustang

You have probably heard of Boosted Solutions (out of Chestertown, Indiana). They campaign The Fugitive. It is a 3,500hp Chevy powered Mustang that kills at major No Prep events. This video brings us the newest project that the guys at Boosted Solutions are campaigning in the Gangster Class at King of the Streets in Chicago. No Prep is the hottest ticket in drag racing right now. This Fox Body Mustang is equipped with a 118-millimeter turbocharger. It don’t come out of the hole as fast as some but it manages to get down the 1320 in good time – good Read More

Corvette Z06 vs. Old School Turbo Nova

This clip shows us a classic battle between a Gen III Nova and a late model Corvette Z06. Besting a Z06 in the 1/4-mile is a monumental task for any overweight muscle car and serious bolt-on modifications (to the ‘Vette) just serve to make matters worse. To even up the competition, the ’73 Nova is equipped with a late model Chevy LS engine and a turbocharger. It looks awesome with that low slung stance that is so typical of this era of Novas. It also has a full roll cage and a TH400 automatic transmission. There’s another close race between the Read More
