Cleetus McFarland and his band of merry men rolled into South Georgia Motorsports Park for Day 4 of Sick Week 2022 in full force. In play are the twin turbo Mullet El Camino, the radical twin turbo ‘Ruby’ Corvette and the menacing supercharged Mercury Marauder. With three days of index drag racing to their credit, these guys are dialed-in to go as fast as they can – without breaking out. Let’s join the action.

Ruby is first to tow the line. She’s running against a pretty Chevy with a ton of attitude. Leaving the hole straight and true, Ruby posts an 8.51-second pass at 161 mph (9-second index). That’s good to buckle things up and get ready for the road.

Next up is Cleetus in the Mullet Chevrolet El Camino. This truck is purpose-built for drag racing. He’s lining up against a Canary Yellow Fox Body Mustang. Cleetus misses the easy layup and posts a 9.36 @ 150 mph. Not too good when you’re looking for an eight. Luckily, the crew finds the problem and works out a solution. Mullet pulls back to the line for another pass. With everything working right, Mullet posts an outstanding time of 7.38-seconds @ 188 mph. With that pass in the books, Mullet can be put back in street mode for the ride to Florida.
