Ferrari 458 Speciale vs. Tesla S P85D + Donuts!

This clip portrays an epic battle between the most powerful all-electric production vehicle ever and an elite internal combustion powered Italian supercar. It comes to you from the EuroSpeedWay Lausitzring in Germany. Car number one, a Tesla S P85D, gets the initial hole-shot on car number two, a Ferrari 458 Speciale. After that, the Ferrari flexes its proverbial muscles and runs away with the contest. Then the 458 does something that the all-wheel drive Tesla could never do; it cuts some radical donuts smoking the rear tires in the process.

The Speciale is outfitted with a 4.5-liter V8 engine that makes 600hp. It is a rear-wheel drive with a mid-mounted engine and costs about a $250k. The Tesla uses a sequence of four electric motors to produce 700hp. It is American made and can dart from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.1-seconds. It costs about $87,500 (before tax rebates).
