The beautifully loud and menacing automobile is the Chevrolet Corvette Z06. It’s a C7, or seventh generation, if you are curious. Under the hood of this top tier ‘Vette is a supercharged 6.2-liter all-aluminum V8 engine that can produce 650hp and 650 lb.-ft. of torque in stock condition. However, the Z06 featured in this video is far from stock. This black beauty has been modified with a Magnuson 2650 blower upgrade (that has also been ported to increase flow), it has a custom ground camshaft, a full assortment of aftermarket high-performance bolt-ons (including exhaust) and an E85 tune. In summary, this Corvette is very quick.
Not to be denigrated, the Tesla Model X Plaid also has its perks. It utilizes a trio of electric motors to generate the equivalent of 1,020hp. The all-wheel drive Model X Plaid can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.5-seconds and turn the standing quarter-mile in 9.7-seconds @ 144 mph. Some have derided these vehicles as “golf karts” because of their all-electric propulsion systems. Take care not to get publicly gapped by one of these golf karts that offer mind-numbing acceleration and superior traction on most surfaces. This one has undergone a certain degree of weight reduction, including lightweight wheels.
