Ohio Sunday Service – Small Tire Cash Days

It’s time to take it south of the border for the Ohio Sunday Service. This is small tire dig racing in a Cash Days format. You just show up, run what-ya-brung and don’t get beat. The rules are simple: Since it’s single elimination, you must cross the finish line first. Don’t jump the light early. Every race is on video. Don’t cross the center line first. Adhere to those rules once more than all the other competitors and take home the cash.

Despite a last minute reschedule, this is a big event. There are fourteen small tire racers in hand and each one has paid a $200 entry fee. It’s winner take all. Without further ado, let’s get to drag racing.

Matchups are drawn and the first race lines up. We have a Fox Body Mustang and a Chevy Malibu. Both are turbocharged. Malibu hooks up better and takes the initial jump, but the Ford drives around him FTW. Fox Body goes to round two (with a bit of side money).

Next up is a (built bottom end) Coyote powered Mustang with twin 6466 Precision turbochargers. It is making approximately 1400whp (on kill). He’s going against a Chevrolet S10 Blazer with a 383 cubic-inch V8 and a couple of kits (nitrous). This ought to be interesting. The Blazer comes out strong but knocks the tires off and gives it up to the Mustang in the end.

The third race of round one pits another Fox Body (small block turbo Ford making 1000hp) against a seventy-something Nova (big block Chevy with nitrous). Nova takes the jump and keeps in walking for the victory.

Tons more street racing action here. Check it out.
