What’s that you say? How can that be? That’s where Chevy Performance comes in. They provided Tire Slayer with their first 1,000hp crate motor. This is a 632 cubic-inch big block (iron) featuring four-bolt main caps and a forged rotating assembly (crank, rods and pistons) with a compression ratio of 12.0:1. The Sperry high-flow cylinder heads are CNC machined from aluminum. It comes complete with electronic port fuel injection, intake and throttle body. During testing, Chevrolet Performance put a single engine through more than 200 simulated drag racing passes on the dyno. The engine is still running. Imagine 1,000 naturally aspirated horsepower and 876 lb.-ft. of torque. Now, imagine it with a pair of turbochargers or a supercharger. Oh, yeah!
Chevy Performance also gave these guys a rolling chassis. Check out the build and daydream about the possibilities. The ZZ632 will be available to the public in early 2022.
