1000HP Turbo Lexus IS300 vs. 1000HP ProCharged Chevy Corvette – Street Hits

June 10th, 2020

Greetings street racing fans and welcome to a night of action south of the border. The featured contest of this clip is between radically modified models of import and domestic origin. This battle shakes out to a struggle between Toyota (Lexus) and Chevrolet. There is also a hidden element between turbocharged and supercharged horsepower. Get in, buckle up and hang on. This is gonna be a good one.

The C7 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray has been upgraded with a built LME racing engine. A ProCharger F1A-94 provides the forced air induction.  A full accoutrement of bolt-ons rounds out this build that can produce approximately 1,000hp.

The tiny Lexus IS300 sedan has been enhanced with a full body modification package. Under the hood is a performance built 2JZ racing engine with a 72-millimeter Borg Warner turbocharger. The transmission is a Tremec T-56 manual unit and the car is capable of producing 1,000hp to the rear wheels.

As these cars line up for some roll racing, keep in mind that they are very evenly matched.

In the initial hit, the Corvette gets the jump and pulls away easily from the Lexus. The import limps back in to dial in some things for round two.

The second hit is more competitive than the first. The Lexus loses again but remains in close proximity throughout the contest.

The third and final hit has the Lexus jumping out slightly before the Corvette puts the little import away again.

These competitors exhibit a refreshing degree of mutual respect and sportsmanship. Well produced video.
