Up for sale is a GT-40 lower intake manifold. This is from a Ford Explorer but will be an excellent upgrade for any 87-93 fox body mustang. I\'m not going to throw any outlandish horsepower gains as it all depends on what setup you\'re running. I will say that it will be sufficient enough for any naturally aspirated 302 5.0L roller engine. Sale is for the lower intake manifold only. Item has been cleaned with Eagle One Mag Wheel Cleaner. It\'s a detergent that\'s available in any auto parts store to wash off grit and grime from cast aluminum parts such as this. Contrary to other\'s beliefs, it doesn\'t weaken the metal. I have a degree in chemical engineering and materials so you\'ll have to trust me on this. After proper cleansing, two coats of high heat (500F+) paint were applied. There are not any stripped threads or cracks to my knowledge. As you might be able to tell from one of the pictures, the thermostat housing has a little corrosion. There were no indications of leaking when I removed it. The thermostat covers the area when bolted up. The price reflects this in comparison to my other intakes for sale. Just thought I\'d mention it so there are no surprises. Again, this does have an EGR provision. Upon request, I can drill and tap the #5 runner for an ACT sensor. I\'ve owned many mustangs and have done this sort of thing before. If this is desired, leave me a note in the auction sale.Dave
