The air filter box has been designed to minimize the amount of hot air from the engine bay reaching the intake to keep the engine running cool. Airflow has been increased with sculpted air ducts that have a large diameter with smooth bends to increase horsepower. A tune is not required to achieve the increased performance provided by this cold air intake kit.

Tech Tip:For 2017 GT Mustangs manufactured after 9/16, the vacuum for the CMCV’s (Charge Motion Control Valves) is no longer picked up from the intake tube. This will require a plug to be used with the unused port/fitting on your new cold air intake tube when installing on all 2017 GT Mustangs built after 9/16 only. The production date on the vehicle (month/year) is located on the decal in driver side door jamb.
The long life filter included with the intake kit can be easily cleaned and reused, saving you the cost of replacing filters. Silicone connectors give the intake system some flexibility, yet still, retain strength and thermal stability.
