As the top of the heap for the Ford Mustang lineup, the 2021 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 is packing plenty of punch. At a curb weight of 4,171-pounds, the GT500 comes equipped with a supercharged 5.2-liter engine aptly named The Predator. The all-aluminum (block and heads) V8 is capable of producing 760hp and 625 lb.-ft. of torque. With the 7-speed automatic transmission, the stock GT500 can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.4-seconds and turn the quarter-mile in 11.3-seconds @ 132 mph. Top speed is 180 mph. The Mustang featured in this video has been modified with an aftermarket upper intake, a supercharger pulley upgrade and a cat delete exhaust setup. It has also been tuned to burn E85.
What can I say about the 2023 Dodge Demon 170? It’s a heavy pig at 4,275-pounds? How about the fact that it has a 6.2-liter HEMI V8 engine with a 3.0-liter supercharger? Or that it can make 1,025hp and 945 lb.-ft. of torque on race gas? Better yet, I’ll tell you that the Demon 170 can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 1.66-seconds and turn the quarter-mile in 8.91-seconds @ 151 mph – both those specs are the best ever for a production car.
Now, run tell that.
