| This car is run in NHRA and IHRA Stock Eliminator. Vehicle weight is 3245 lbs in H/FIA and 3450 in I/FIA. The best pass noted on here is from this years US Nationals in Class eliminations, (H/FIA 3255 weight) came on a motor that is nothing special. A valve job, .030 over, and a good set of springs. Granted, it has been blueprinted and balanced, but is now from 1998 and has not been freshened up since 2000 and has probably 300+ runs on it. I have a new unit in the works that should surpass the 311 HP that was made on the Dyno. Kuntz @ Co in Arkadelphia Ark is putting this piece together for me. All based on the 1 year only combination of 1986, the first year for fuel injection and the last year for a fox bodied Capri hence making it a 1 year only combination that shares it with only the 86 Mustang and 86 Lincoln Mark VII LSC. The suspension consists of TRZ upper and lower adjustable control arms, QA-1 single adjustable shocks on the rear, and Koni Struts on the front, Lakewood traction bars, and Air Lift Air bags. Springs are stock factory units. Strange lightweight axles, lightweight spool, Richmond 4.88 ring and pinion, and stock brakes. Should anything better happen, and we change things in the car, I'll pass it on. |
