i was wanting to buy a 91 civic hatchback and it is all stock that i know of, but im scarde it is slow. do you know if a stock 91 civic is slow or what? i would apreciate it

Hey IDK, Well it depends on which 91 civic you get. The Standard (like mine) are way slow, like 20.6 seconds slow, the DX is very slow like 17.4 seconds slow, and the Si which have the D16a6 in them are not too slow, but are still 16.7. So to start a stock 91 is slow, but get some light wheels, good tires, intake, header, exhaust, and a high flow cat (or a test pipe which deletes your cat) and you'll be much more happy. I hit 15.7 in my old 90 Civic hatch with those mods and lots of practice. Anyway, thur you go. Later, Davey

Time slip reads 13 second, you post 14.49 on your site and 15.07 on your window. Which is it dude?? Either this car is terribly inconsistent or you are a pathetic liar?? Which one??

Tony... first off DONT BE A ****. If you read in my comments then you'll notice that I am going to be updating with a new picture soon, so that would tell a me that maybe that 15.07 on my window is old and my car has gotten quicker. Also, if you think hard enough maybe, just maybe I accidently forgot to update my times on my page after I posted my new timeslip since I was so excited that my car finally broke into the 13's. And since it takes up too 24 hours for them to update this site I had to wait for it to post up so I could change the times. Think before you post on someone's page and next time try to be nice before you accuse someone of lying on here, especially when on their timeslip the car number matches the number on the windshield in the picture. Thanks for the comment anyway and good luck with whatever you drive.

Very impressed by your civic. for a single cam motor expecially a 1.5 to run 13's? not to mention through N/A? thats intense. great work on the car and keep it up!

Thanks for the comment Zack, I'm pretty surprised at my 1.5 as well. Unfortunately it isn't N/A, it has a 75 shot of Nitrous. I'm going out soon and I'm hoping to hit the mid 13's!

I have a 1.5...it has -550cc injectors -fuel rail/regulator -cams -cam gears -header back exhaust -cold air how much juice do u think i can use??

Hey Matt, You have all the bolt on stuff which is good, but essentailly your motor (internally) is stock. So it will handle what a stock motor can handle. I have put around 6 bottles on my 1.5 on the track and on the street and it has handled it fine. I would up grade your ignition system first. Like get an MSD external coil some better 8 mm wires and NGK BKR8EIX spark plugs. Then you will be as safe as you can against detonation, which is bad. Probably a 75 shot is about as high you'd want to go. But with that you'll fly! Get some pistons and rods in there and you can got to 100 or 125 shot. Definately get a wet nitrous set up, never use dry... just not as safe. Good luck, email me if you have more questions.
