I bought this truck for $100.00 back in 1999. Intended for street/strip use I decided that I was gonna build an engine that would have great "real world" street mannerisms (I put about 3800 miles on it durring the summer months)as well as provide enough power to put good numbers on the board at the strip. I also built the engine to accomodate around 200hp of Nitrous if I feel the need to "bumpup" the performance in the future. Upon completion, I predicted that the truck would go low 8's on the 1/8 mile and mid to low 12's on the 1/4 mile. When the truck ran the 11.71, you can imagine how pleasantly surprised I was. I think that with a little more tuning and some good weather, 11.50's are possible.
