Additional Information

  • Ok, don't rag on the r/t, I'm a lot quicker than that, but the car was sporting a completely fragged flexplate [ http://www.alienhybrids.com/nismo/Zed/flexplate_1024.jpg ] so I was babying it out of the hole. Car is currently undergoing a flexplate transplant and I'm installing the B&M MegaShifter. Hopefully without the fear of losing a leg I can come out of the hole harder and with better shifts than the stock shift lever gave me. AFR heads and a custom ground camshaft are in the near future. Along with a MSD-6AL and a 750cfm spreadbore Holley double pumper. I'm also making a dual snorkel air filter to take advantage of the air vent intakes in the nose. Cold Air, Old School! 12s is my near-term goal.

    **** Update ****
    ****************
12's here I come! My wife got the Trick Flow top end kit
with aluminum heads and a nice cam. It comes with a new
roller timing gear setup and crane roller rockers.
TF claims 420hp with the setup. I also got a Performer RPM
Air-Gap, and a 800cfm Edelbrock, light aluminum water pump,
and 2 piece aluminum timing cover. Hopefully I will knock
40-50lb off the running weight. Then I'll be nearly 100lb
    lighter than stock!
